I won't pretend... I was linked here because I was searching for brushes in general. I don't have a kid, or a bottle, so I can't speak to this brush's intended use.
I can however attest to it's MANY uses outside of the bottle (and I have no idea how it's used WITH one. hmmm) They can withstand a few washings, and make very reusable pipe cleaners... which IS what I was searching for. However... these are BETTER. No bits of fluff get left in the stem, and you can steralize and reuse these (although presumably not for a use with a bottle) plenty of time. I also found that with a spritz of computer-monitor cleaner, it is the BEST way to get... crud... out of keyboards. I'm sure there are more uses... the point is that these are fantastic, and should be in hardware stores!

These are great for cleaning the straws in my grandchild's sippy cups. I don't have a dishwasher, so these really come in handy. I use them for the straws and tight places in my drink containers too.

Not what I was looking for. My wife and I wanted something to clean our kid's straws. I saw some lady on amazon mention these as a good option so we picked up a set. I was very disappointed in the quality. I know this was not its intended use and its only a few bucks but I still wish it was a little more sturdy. Anyway, I found something else that I'm a lot happier with. If you want something for your straws get the Sippy Stuff straw brush. If you don't mind switching brushes every now and then get these. They come four in a pack.

I didn't buy these for bottles. I bought them to clean anything that needed to be cleaned in tight places. It was a good buy.

I bought these brushes to clean the straws in my Thermos Raya Water Bottle. They are the perfect size to fit in straws, very affordable, and 4 come in the pack. Plus, they are dishwasher safe for disinfecting. A good buy!

These brushes are great. They are soft enough to not scratch but stiff to be good at cleaning. You should know that they are quite small - about 8" long.

I just wanted to point out to those purchasing this product for uses not related to baby bottles, that the product dimensions are not accurate.
The listing says Product Dimensions: 0.3 x 3.8 x 9.1 inches ; 0.5 ounces The cardboard backing is 9.1 inches long, NOT the brushes. The brushes are about 5 inches in length. The bristles, from side to side, measure only 1/4 inch in diameter. From the image and the listed dimensions, I thought these brushes would be bigger than they are. The bristles are good and firm and the stems are strong, yet flexible and will hold a good bend if needed. I intend to bend mine into a zig-zag so I can clean the inside walls of my tiny-mouthed hummingbird feeder. Of course, because of the short length of these, I can only clean the first 3 inches of that feeder. Ah well.

I use the Dr.Brown cleaning brush for my son's Munchkin sippy cup,( not the flip top design) but the sippy cup that has four pieces. The cup part, the plastic ring, plastic top, and hard plastic straw. Before coming across the Dr. Brown cleaning brushes, I would throw away the straws or sippy cup altogether and buy a new one (that was before I found replacement straws). Nevertheless these brushes clean the straw and plastic 'sip' part very well. It gets the particles out nice and easy. I used to soak, spray bleach in the straw, run it through a cycle in the dishwasher and they still did not come clean. But with the Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Brush cleaning those tight spaces are a breeze!

I got these for my Medela Pump N Style horns. They accumulate dishwashing detergent residue and hard water minerals in the insides and I could not get it out. It bothered me a lot until I got these brushes. These tiny brushes work well on the dry horn to clean that out and as wet to help me clean the horns by hand. They are very small, maybe 1/4 inch brush and 1/8 inch wire at end. I like them a lot and will buy more when they deteriorate. I wish Medela thought to sell some like them.

AMAZING!!! I know that sounds kinda an over the top description, but that's how I feel about these. I've been looking for a LONG LONG TIME for something to clean my straws with. You know....those one that come with reuseable bottles and cups. it has irked me to no end that the best "cleaning method I could find was flash dunking in hot hot water or tossing a drop of soap inside and rinsing clean with water. still.developed.mold. ugh. the only thing I would do to improve is make them with a longer stem so I can use on longer straws! :)
