My baby loves these nipples.
N. M. Dubois
I usually pump into an Evenflo standard glass bottle, and add a Dr. Brown's nipple to an Evenflo collar - it's a perfect fit.
Mrs. Robinson
It's worth the time to wash all the parts.

I am happy to be able to purchase additional parts for my Dr Brown's bottles. I feed my baby breast milk using these bottles and have had no problems with gas. I would recommend sticking with Level 1 nipples if you are breastfeeding, until the point where the baby is clearly collapsing the nipple. Even Level 1 comes out faster than breast milk. My baby is 5 months old and I can't imagine switching to Level 2 yet, the milk would gush out and she would choke.

The nipples that came with the evenflo glass bottles were way too fast for my 3 wk old baby. The dr browns level 1 nipples are compatible w the evenflo bottles and the flow is just right. My baby no longer chokes when he's feeding.

Though they look exactly aline, the silicone is thinner on these than on Gerber nipples. My baby does much better (gas-wise) with Dr. Brown's bottles than anything else, so I may be biased. But I'll gladly pay the premium for these.

I have tried level P and Level 1. Would recommend level P for infants up to 4 months then would switch to Level 1. I think the flow is quite quick, so are not planning on switching to Level 2 any time soon.

I tried a number of different nipples in combination with Medela bottles for my little one (now almost 4 months old). Dr. Brown's are the only ones she will take without fussing, spitting them out, choking on milk or sucking too much air. The level 1 nipple requires the right amount of work from her, such that she can down a whole bottle without being overwhelmed by fast flow. The downside is that it can take a while to feed. I have noticed that the nipple will sometimes collapse, so a regular part of our feedings is that the whoever gives the bottle just needs to tug on it partially out of her mouth so that the nipple can reinflate. A very minor drawback...but anything that keeps her happy and eating is great for this working mom.

Now that she is comfortable taking a bottle, I've tried to throw some of the other nipples (not Dr. Browns) that I bought back into the mix and she still won't take them. So, I'll happily stick with these. They are relative inexpensive, have held up well to daily use, work in my Medela bottles, and keep the babe happy.

These nipples are the best of the best, in my opinion...and that's after trying literally just about every single one out there. A lot of nipples are thick and stiff...not these! Our baby was born prematurely and had a floppy airway that made sucking difficult, trouble swallowing, and was severely tongue tied (enough to require several surgeries to correct). Due to his medical problems, he was unable to breastfeed, and it was very difficult for him to suck on ANY other nipple than this one. The Dr. Brown's nipples are extremely soft and flexible. I like that they come in a wide variety of flow rates; when we were working with a lactation consultant to see if he could learn to nurse, we used the preemie nipple, which is just perfect for breastfed babies or preemies. At 10 months, we're still using the size 1 nipples and don't expect that to change - they work perfectly for him. Don't hesitate to buy these - they fit all standard bottles, not just Dr. Brown's. I usually pump into an Evenflo standard glass bottle, and add a Dr. Brown's nipple to an Evenflo collar - it's a perfect fit.

I used these nipples while I breastfed, and baby went from breast to bottle fairly easily. I guess I jumped the gun though because i moved her to stage 2 at three months old and she lost some of her interest in nursing. The bottle then was the easier softer way. So I suggest if you are using Dr. Brown's in conjunction with breastfeeding and want to keep nursing, to keep using the level 1 nipples even after three months.

Preparing to bottle feed our little boy, I asked lactation consultants and moms about what nipples they had good experiences with, and Dr. Browns was a frequent winner. I ordered one pack of 2 to try out with our Evenflo bottles, and have since been back for 6 more packs for daily use!

Here's why I think Dr. Brown's worked for my baby and so many others. Of course, babies have their own preferences which remain mysteries to us, and yours may have a different opinion!

- while the nipple looks similar to the ones that came with our Evenflo 3 Pack Classic Glass Bottle, 4-Ounce, it is much thinner and more pliable, easier for a young baby to manipulate and open/close.
- there are little raised flanges inside the nipple which it seems act as a gate - the baby pulls milk into the tip, and when the tongue presses these it isolates the tip, avoiding a full-nipple release of milk.
- The size 1 flow rate is reasonably slow, and I expect to stick with it for quite a while. It takes about 10 minutes to feed a 3-ounce bottle.
- The silicone has no flavor (unlike natural rubber nipples)
- The shape must be similar enough to a breast. Our boy ate 2oz at once the first time we tried this nipple. He seemed to "get it".
- Now that he is more experienced, our boy can speed or slow the flow by pushing back on the bottle or hand of the person feeding him.

Here's why I like these:
- they fit any narrow mouth bottle. We've used them with our glass bottles as well as the
