5.0 out of 5 stars As advertised
Dr. Brown's are considered the best bottles by almost any pediatrician you'd ask. These are for 3-6 mo. My baby was 6wks premature but was able to start at 3 mo. of age (i.e. didn't wait til 3 mo. post due date). Little need to say more- if you're considering this item you probably have the bottles with #1 nipples. Feeding time reduced with increased flow!

2.0 out of 5 stars Impossible to differentiate between nipple sizes; leaky too...
I generally like Dr. Brown's bottles, although admittedly they do leak on a consistent basis. But by far the most frustrating aspect of these bottles are the impossible-to-read labels found on the underside of the nipple. My twins alternate between level 1 (for breastmilk), Level 2 (for formula), and the Y cut (for formula thickened with cereal). It is ridiculously...

We bought these nipples for our daughter when she was about 5 months old. She has always used the Dr. Brown bottles. We started mixing a bit of rice cereal into her bottles and she couldn't get the thicker mixture through the level 1 nipples. So we switched to the next size on the advice of a friend and they work great. One warning, though... without the rice cereal she'll drink a 5-6 oz. bottle in 3 minutes which is a little too fast.

The level 1 nipples lasted over 3 months, and I expect these will prove just as durable. We wash them almost every day (in the handy Dr. Brown's bottle cages) and they hold up fine.

We have several types of bottles, but I really only like using the Dr. Brown ones. Seem to work well for my son. The cleanup really isn't that bad. Someone gave it one star because they had to clean extra parts...boo hoo. I'd rather have my son using a quality product and sacrifice the extra 15 seconds it takes to clean up. That's my cross to bear I guess...lol. Plus I call them Doc Brown bottles and say "Great Scott!" a lot...so my love of Back to the Future could make me biased.

2.0 out of 5 stars Impossible to differentiate between nipple sizes; leaky too..., April 7, 2011

It is ridiculously difficult to read the transparent raised label on the underside of the nipple, especially when it is a bleary-eyed attempt in the middle of the night.

If I didn't get these for free from a friend, I never would have stuck with the brand.

I was sick at home at knew that my 3-month-old was ready to move up to the next level. The price was fair and I got free shipping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy with Dr. Browns Products, March 23, 2011
This review is from: Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Level 2 Standard Nipple, 3 Pack (Baby Product)
I have been extremely happy with the Dr Browns products, this one included. It's made to use with the Dr. Browns bottles and fits fine. They also work with other standard bottles. No leaking. I moved my baby to this size recently at 8 months. He breastfeeds and takes a bottle at daycare. I purchased these and also the level three after he started collapsing the level 1 nipples in an attempt to get the milk out. He's adjusted to the faster flow just fine.

Dr Browns = Nipples don't collapse
Level 2 = faster flow = less feeding time = more sleep = happy baby = happy daddy
Started at 3 months - wish I had used these for my first daughter.
Not sure why they don't package this nipple size with the bottles - or actually maybe I do know why....

I haven't tried any other nipples so I don't have anything to compare this to but these level 2s worked well for my baby when she was 3-6 months.

This nipple is the next level in the set, designed for babies 3-6 months. It took a few tries for my daughter to adjust to the faster flow, but she got the hang of it pretty quickly.
