great product,

My baby also has to have cereal thickened formula for his really bad reflux (as ordered by his doctor i might add). These nipples work great as long as the formula is too thick to use in a regular stage 1 or 2 nipple. The only problem i have found with these nipples is that you have to be gentle when you are using a nipple brush to clean them so that you don't tear the y-cut opening.....2 of our nipples tore at the cuts causing the hole to become larger. But gentler cleaning and checking the nipples before each use has remedied this problem. Also want to add that my son started using these nipples at the age of 2 months and has had no problems sucking from them.

The only one of its kind...,

My son was born with a medical condition that requires us to thicken his liquids. The Doc Brown Y cuts are ideal for his feedings. They can be difficult to find in retail stores. The only store around us that even carries them is Babies R Us and they are almost always out of stock. My only complaint is that after about three weeks the opening on the nipples start to widen and this causes the liquids to pour out too quickly. When your paying $6.00 for three nipples and have to replace 6 to 9 of them every three weeks it gets a little expensive. Aside from the widening problem it really is a good product. I know it has helped with my son's feedings. If Doc Brown can figure out a way to keep them from wearing out so quickly it would be a five star product instead of a four.

great nipples,

great nipples to use when you add cereal to the night bottles, it flows well with thicker fluids. Now that my baby is older he even drinks formula out of these nipples because level 4 is too slow for him. excellent quality, durable and opening wont stretch.

I needed Y cut nipples for my son's milk/oatmeal concoction due to his bad reflux, and these worked great. The only issue is that they wore down very quickly and needed to be replaced after only a few weeks.

We used the Y-cut nipples when our daughter started rice cereal. The nipples worked great and didn't flow too fast. Would definitely recommend rather than cutting a regular nipple.

My son has reflux and the doctor said to put some rice cereal in his bottle. These nipples have helped me to do so. It took my son a couple of tries to understand not to suck too hard because he was getting more but he's a pro now!

After trying every (and I do mean every) nipple on the market in our area this is the ONLY nipple that worked when the doctor added cereal to the formula for our twin grandsons. I highly recommend the Dr. Brown bottle system and the nipples. Our daughter sold another entire "set" of a highly recommended bottle system. There is nothing to compare with Dr. Browns items if you have a baby with tummy problems!

My son is almost 6 months and his last bottle of the night I put a good deal of cereal in, which is too thick for most nipples so I bought these to go with his Dr. Brown's bottles. They are too fast for him, even thick w/ cereal! He does much better with an Avent bottle w/ a Stage 4 nipple and isn't overwhelmed. I'm sure these are fine, but at the same time a kid that is old enough to handle this fast of a flow, probably doesn't really need bottles with cereal anymore.

Great for AR Formula,

These are the only nipples I could find that truly work with AR (Added Rice) formula. As my daughter grows, I add more rice to the AR formula and she has no problems. Great product!
