Excellent book,
By Karen (Monee, Illinois USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dr. Cookie Cookbook (Paperback)
This book is for anyone who enjoys eating desserts, cookies, breads etc. who also wants to eat healthy and fit into the same size for years to come. The recipes are easy and wholesome. Try the chocolate chip cookies...that recipe alone makes the book worth buying.

Two good natured Doctors offer sensational alternatives to heavy fat laden processed Cookies, Cakes and Muffins.,
This review is from: Dr. Cookie Cookbook (Paperback)
This is one of my all time favorite cooking books. Through good fortune of a business trip to Wisconsin in 1994 I happened upon this book. A quick flip through the pages revealed a brilliant plan for health conscious lovers of cookies, cake and muffins. After buying a copy, reading it on the plane home I couldn't put it down and have enjoyed it ever since.
For me, many of their healthy ingredient ideas carried over into other recipes. The Oatmeal cookies became a basic in the children's diet. They never cared it was a fiber rich food, they just loved them. The muffins were a regular breakfast food for the days we were up and on the road in a hurry. Muffins made with "carrot cake" type of recipe, disappeared so fast that I was forced to put them on allocation, with each one in snack bags and a owners name. When the chocolate pudding cake came from the oven they formed a line. This was the all time favorite desert from our favorite MD's Cookie Cookbook. My Grand-daughter is now the latest fan. She aids as a taste tester during our joint cooking sessions. We have agreed that someday we will open one of the other cookie books on the shelf, but not too soon. You will not go wrong with this book.

Great little cookbook--has a variety of breads, cakes, muffins, etc., all low fat and most very easy to make. The most important thing is that taste is not sacrificed! Too many low fat desserts have very little taste--these recipes are very good! I am hoping these two authors come out with another book------happy cooking!

Careful!,
This review is from: Dr. Cookie Cookbook (Paperback)
I purchased this book because unfortunatley I failed to read the fine print...I thought this was exclusively a cookie book and it wasn't. There are recipes for muffins, cakes, etc. Just by looking at the cover you would think that it's only a cookie cookbook.
