I would think best for 9-12 year olds, April 15, 2008
This review is from: Dr. Eggman Goes to War (Sonic X) (Mass Market Paperback)
I agree that these books are well written and a nice incentive to get a young Sonic fan to read. I bought this book for my 7 year old, not really sure what to expect. The story is tame enough, but the words are pretty advanced. He likes to read on his own and I don't think there were too many sentences he could get through on his own. Words like magistrate, scabby, participate, emotion, swear, outskirts, abandon, snidely, etc etc are hard to comprehend for a 7 year old. Nevertheless, he loves for me to read it to him and the illustrations help him follow along. Definitely a top notch product, however, the author could have used simpler words to tell the story.

Wonderful adaptation of Saturday morning cartoon, July 11, 2006
This review is from: Dr. Eggman Goes to War (Sonic X) (Mass Market Paperback)
Great idea to take the adventures of cartoon characters our children already watch on TV and turning them into books that motivate the children to read. My 3 great nephews liked "My Aqua Planet" and "Dr. Eggman Goes to War" by Charlotte Fullerton. She has a way with words that keeps the story going. They are excited about the next book as the story continues in "Battle At the Ice Palace." I'm pleased that Amazon is now listing Ms. Fullerton's future publications so we know when they are coming out.

Best Bedtime Story Since Mr Poppers Penguins, July 7, 2006
This review is from: Dr. Eggman Goes to War (Sonic X) (Mass Market Paperback)
My kids have fallen in love with Charlotte Fullerton and her books. When the kids found out that Charlotte lives in our neighborhood, they go nuts wondering which house she might live in.
As a parent, finding something interesting to read to the kids at night is tough. But they kids love everything Charlotte has written so far. And now Amazon is listing her future releases, which are already listed on each of the kids calendars.
When I was growing up Mr. Poppers Penguins was one of my favorite books. The kids loved the Penguins, but now thanks to Charlotte their bedtime stories are a little more updated.
Charlotte, thank you so much for making it easy to get the kids in bed at night. And if you ever hear the faint voices of children calling out Charlotte, just know that those are my kids B & B hoping to find you.
