Product Description

Uses gentle traction to help relieve lower back pain related to degenerative discs, herniated discs, sciatica, scoliosis and general muscle tension and stiffness. The HoPhysio Decompression Belt is a revolutionary new product engineered to help relieve a lifetime of back pain in as little as 30 minutes. Developed by back pain specialist Dr. Michael Ho, the Decompression Belt is unlike any other support or back pain belt, because it also provides clinical grade traction and decompression therapy. Decompression is a proven technique endorsed by medical professionals used in both upper and low back pain treatment, without the need for surgery or drugs. Just wrap the Decompression Belt firmly around your waist, attach the pump, and inflate the belt. As the belt inflates with air, it expands vertically, gently stretching and tractioning the lower back. This gentle traction helps decompress the spinal discs and stretch and relax tight muscles to relieve lower back pain. Because the HoPhysio Belt fills with air, it is not bulky and very light, so you can wear this discreetly underneath your every day clothes. Wear it for just 30 minutes a day as a therapy belt. Or wear it all day while you work and play as an activity belt. You can even wear the Belt to get a restful night's sleep. The dual purpose of the HoPhysio Belt allows you to not only get home physiotherapy, but also allows you to be active and do everything you've avoided. People of all ages and all sizes, from young athletes to seniors, are getting fast, long-lasting back pain relief with the HoPhysio Belt. Remember, with the HoPhysio Decompression Belt, there's no pills, no appointments, just less pain and less bills. As the HoPhysio Belt inflates with air, it expands vertically, gently stretching and tractioning the lower back. This gentle traction helps decompress the spinal discs.

I have 3 bad discs in my lower back causing me ongoing pain from the lower back all the way down to the back of my heel. I have been taking pain medication for 5 years and last year reluctantly agreed to have an epidural injection. My job requires bending moderate lifting and lots of sitting.

Right before a two week training trip for work, twisted my back and couldn't move. A trip to the Emergency Room resulted in prescriptions of a major muscle relaxant and yet more pain pills. More upsetting, it resulted in the scheduling of another epidural injection the week after I was scheduled to return from training. (Complete with a $200 co-pay)

I had seen the Dr. Ho belt on infomercials before and always dismissed it. I check out numerous online reviews and after realizing that most of the negative reviews were indeed from those who never tried the belt decided there was nothing to lose so I ordered one to arrive at the hotel where my training was held.

After a 10 hour drive to my training location, I was in no shape to have training, but sure enough my Ho Belt was at the front desk waiting for me. I got to my room, put the belt on and laid down as I could barely stand.

Following the directions, I used the belt for 3- 30 minute sessions the remainder of that first day. I put it on in the morning of the second day and after about 30 seconds of discomfort, my pain was cut in half! I was able to get through my morning classes with virtually no additional pain. This was particularly true since I cut my pain medication in half so that my mind would be clear enough to remember my classes.

By the 4th day, I was wearing the belt for the full 9 hours I was in class and doing so with only 2 pain pills in the morning.

This is an excellent support belt,it's very well constructed, and has easy to follow directions, and recommedations for the best results. It has relieved all the pain, and pressure in my lower back. I sometimes sleep with it on & wake up with no pain or stiffness. I have recommended this to a few friends that suffer from lower back pain.

The over-hyped, false claims that this overblown snake oil salesman is making on television about this product is a monumental joke. Let me explain.

I have bought and used every sort of back belt since 1969. Essentially, they don't work. If they did, why do people spend BILLIONS on other forms of back relief if they could just buy one of these "blow up dolls" and achieve the same thing? Back belts have been used for decades to relieve temporary back pain. BUT THIS KIND OF PAIN RELIEF IS JUST AN ILLUSION. By artificially stiffening the spine, it momentarily takes the stress off the spine, but this relief is only temporary and only results in more pain later. The only true way of permanently and properly alleviating chronic back pain is by exercise and physical therapy. Unbeknownst to most back sufferers, it is the abdominal muscles that take painful stress off the back, therefore, only by strengthening the stomach muscles can one truly reduce back pain and improve your overall back health. Daily stretching or anything that increases your core strength will accomplish this important task. But over-priced back belts of the kind that this television quack is pushing often do just the opposite -- creating even more pain down the line by actually WEAKENING the stomach muscles by relying on artificial lumbar supports that have been pushed on the unwary public for years.

The only thing that has given me any kind of lasting pain relief is gentle yoga stretching, walking, and deep tissue massage. I've been using the McKenzie Method for many years now, and it's really worked wonders. When I lived in California, I had access to a pool where I could swim everyday (the absolute BEST exercise for back pain).

I ordered this product after I had already bought and returned an "original" Dr. Ho decompression belt. Thinking the price was too high, I decided to purchase this belt through Amazon. However, as I could compare the two belts, I found the Amazon belt rather cumbersome to use. Almost as if it were an "old" Dr. Ho belt or one of their original belts. It was rather hard to pump up, not nearly as good as the "real" Dr. Ho belt. In fairness to the Amazon belt people, I have a scoliosis condition so I don't think either belt could really help me. I have a crooked spine so neither belt helped my condition.
The biggest disappointment of all was that I could not return it and get my money back. I had read the many reviews where they gave me warnings about not returning it, but I assumed it would be identical to the "authentic" Dr. Ho belt (which it was not). So please be aware that you cannot return the belt if you are dissatisfied for any reason. Now I have to go on Amazon to see if I can sell it.

I have a thin disk in my lower back, (essentially bone on bone), and of course I'll try most anything, (except surgery), to get where I can at least ignore the problem. I gave this every chance to help me and it doesn't. I sure hope it works better for others that it does for me!
