Seriously, these things work!!! My foot still hurts but it does not HURT. In fact...it's too soon to tell...but wearing these may be improving things altogether. I used to wake up with foot pain and just realized I am not. How cool is that!?

Also went shoe shopping for the first time in like four years. It was so fun to see how something looked as opposed to finding shoes that hurt the least. All because of Dr. Jill's miracle gels.

My right foot has had Morton's Neuroma for years. I purchased expensive orthotics for it and they sort of worked. For a while. In my tennies and golf shoes. Out of luck with work shoes. Recently had more pain than usual and went hunting for something to make it better. I purchased some leather insoles designed for women's shoes with a metatarsal pad. No go, they weren't high enough and had no support for the arch.

So then I tried some pads designed to place in the shoe under the metatarsal. These may work -- if you can figure out where they heck to place them. And that's the big issue for so many pads: putting them in the right spot on the insole. Forget about it if you're trying to put them in cowboy boots.

Dr. Jill's were my last hope and I am absolutely thrilled with the performance. These are amazing. They are easy to place on your foot and relatively easy to move a bit as needed. The gel feels very good to me, the support is there but not obtrusive. I wash them every couple days and plan to get at least one more pair so I don't have to wait for them to dry.

I am currently using the 1/8 ones but may try the 1/4 on the foot that hurts.

TIPS: At first I thought these were going to be too wide on my 8.5 women's shoe size narrow foot. Nope. Supports the whole metatarsal arch and that's a good thing.

After 3 weeks of thinking I had a stress fracture in my foot, my podiatrist diagnosed me with Morton's neuroma. I'd never heard of this condition before but it really does feel like you're walking around with a rock perpetually stuck under the ball of your foot. As an avid triathlete, I was devastated not to be able to run.

My podiatrist prescribed these metatarsal pads and they have completely changed my life. Although the neuroma is still stubbornly hanging around, I went from walking around with a limp to competing in a half Ironman and 20 mile runs. Overall, the pads are fantastic.

They do have one drawback, however. In the spring, I noticed that on runs over 45 minutes the heat and sweat inside my shoe would cause the pad to detach and "swim" around in there. This was less than ideal as the whole point of the pad is to stay put. I experimented with using strips of athletic tape to hold the pad in place. This solution worked fairly well except I tended to get blisters along the edges of the tape.

My (expensive) solution: use 2 overlapping fat strips of kinesiotape instead. This tape is fabric like on the outside and is pretty impermeable to water which is fantastic. I've only have one blister with this method and that was when I hadn't overlapped the pieces well and the two open edges began rubbing against one another, and my arch.

I mentioned that this is an expensive method because KT tape is not cheap and now that summer is fully upon us, I have to use the KT tape for runs longer than 15-20 minutes. On a treadmill, I can get away without the extra tape for runs shorter than an hour thank goodness.

Still, the pads have been amazing. The tape+pad combo got me through a half Ironman last month and will get me through an Ironman in 4 weeks. After that, I might look into surgery to really nip this neuroma in the bud once and for all, but in the meantime, the pads are excellent!

Podiatrist dispensed this pad for my foot that has a Morton's neuroma. The pad definitely helps keep the pressure off the neuroma site. I'm very pleased and pain-free.

My foot doctor prescribed these a couple of years ago and I was delighted that Amazon carries them. If they are washed frequently they will last longer. Do not lose the little peel-off plastic that each cushion comes with. You will need that little piece to re-attach it when it is dry after washing. Otherwise it sticks to everything else. I have used a baggie in a pinch, since I lost the first ones.

These are absolutely the best foot cushions I have come across in years! In the long run, they turn out to be extremely economical because they can be used and reused.

I have struggled with ball of foot inserts for 40 years, Jill's Gell pads fixed all my past problems. They adhere to my foot, not my shoe, and the gel product is such that it honestly gives me comfort. Also each one lasts 2 months if washed off every time after use. I will buy them as long as Jills makes them. I bought them from my Podiatrist, who recommended them, until I found them on Amazon. Dee in Boca

When I first got these and stuck them on in the place in the packaging picture, They did nothing to help my Morton's Neuroma. I put them away for several days and then tried them again positioning them farther down than in the package picture. Inwore a pair of shoes that normally hurt my Morton's Neuroma after wearing them for hours. There was no pain pain. I decided to wear them to dance class in my dance sandals. After 1 1/2 hours there was a little pain but not much and not unbearable that I could not dance. So thinking this might be a "fluke", I decided to wear the pad the next night in the same dance sandal. After 2 1/2 hours of dancing, same slight pain I had the night before but not so bad that I could not dance. I have spent hundreds of dollars over the years on inserts, gel pads, expensive orthotics, toe spacers, cortisone shots, even cryosurgery that have done nothing to ease the excruciating pain from the Morton's Neuroma. I am absolutely amazed! These pads look so similar to other gel pads I have purchased that did nothing to help the pain. The dance sandals I wore them in had only about a one inch heel. I am going to try them in a little higher heel to see how they work. I will update the review when I try higher heels. The pads stick pretty well and after taking off, rinsing them in water will bring back the stick.
