These were purchased to replace a pair of 1999 Dr Marten 1490s. I was supprised to see that the boots are manufactured in China (minus the sole) and not England. I found through some research that compleate English made boots are still available for purchasem but for almost double the price. They are holding up well with daily use. It took one week to break them in so not to get blisters anymore. The laces are not of the best qulity and I am prepared for them to break soon, but othere than that, so far, so good.

The boots are very good looking boots, but just be aware that it will take some time to break in. These boots are very stiff. I have heard to put water in them and wear them wet to break these in, but I haven't tried it yet. Also, they seem to run a little big. I am a good size 8 and these feel a bit big, but I do not want to go down a size. Guess I will wear thicker socks with these boots.
