I work on an oil rig and I thought I was getting a tough boot made in the UK, but when i opened the box, these boots were made in China and right then I knew I would get three months off of these...if I'm lucky. By the end of the second week, they were already leaking. I had to get a pair of steel toed rubber boots for days I would be expected to be in water most of the day. By the end of the third week, they started coming apart on the bottom and the neoprene off the toe. Into the fourth week, I had put some 30 dollar insouls as my feet were murdering me slowly. To my amazement, i have gone four months on the sorry-dog boots and there isnt much left of them. Since much of the souls are gone, they are slippery! These boots would work of you were a sheep herder, but if you do some serious hard punishment work like I do, four words for ya, Red Wing Pecos Diamonds, insulated if you want that hardcore water proofing. I made a costly mistake getting these boots thinking they were a UK boot, but if you get them for a hardcore work environment, you will regret it.

These boots are great. The first time I put them on they felt already broken in and comfortable. I work at a power plant and subject my boots to a lot of abuse. The waterproof feature is excellent and the steel toe is a nice safety feature. The straps are nice and durable, make the boots easy to pull on. I'm sure with how much I abuse them I will have to waterproof them in the future but it is well worth it. Hope this review helps

I AM CAPTIAN ON A BOOT IN THE GULF OF MEXICO.
THIS IS WHERE I HAVE USED THE BOOTS FOR ALMOST
ONE MONTH.
THEY FEEL GREAT ON MY FEET AND GIVE GOOD FOOT AND ANKLE SUPPORT.
THEY LOOK FANTASTIC. ONE PROBLEM IN THE BEGINNING WAS THAT THEY
WERE SLIPPERY ON DECK. I BELIEVE THIS IS SOMETHING IN THE MANUFACTURING
PROCESS ON THE SOLES. BUT AFTER USE FOR A COUPLE DAYS THAT WENT AWAY.
THEY ARE WATER PROOF.
MY ONLY PROBLEM SO FAR IS A WHITE FILM THAT APPEARS IN THE OUTER LEATHER
AFTER USE ON DECK. THIS WIPES OFF WITH A DAMP CLOTH. NOT SURE IF THIS IS
BECAUSE OF THE SALT WATER OF NOT. I DO RECOMMEND THE BOOTS AND FEEL
THEY ARE A VERY GOOD PRODUCT.
