Great Pair of boots, For All Day Comfort They really do compete with my "Top of The Line" Wolverines. I am on my feet 8hrs a day on with building maint. so the duties are everything from being a electrician one minute to a plumber the next, and it doesn't stop there.
The only thing that they are "Not" is waterproof. But I used mink oil on them anyway, and they darkened up, but that made them look even better. They are not a Cold Weather -0F and below boot since they are not insulated for our Alaskan Winters. But our climate is changing so rapidly that they will be just fine in just a few years.
I must say if you wear a 10.5 get a size 11.

I've owned two pairs of these, and as a person who tears through shoes it was a nice change to have a pair of everyday boots (that did lots of miles) that lasted more than two years. My typical shoe life span is 6 months to a year tops. Even after they began to fall apart, they were still repairable and really could still be used. HIghly recommend these. Comfort is fantastic (better than even the rest of the already good line of Dr. Martens stuff), which is why it ended up an everyday boot rather than a specialty item. I even had a pair of dress pats tailored to them! Another good perk was that they're very easy to get on and off. The big metal loops let the laces freely slide, so it took seconds to either get them on or off.

I have tried many different boots on my husband's feet. With these boots he no longer needs a foot support. The gel-like bottom takes the place of that. My husband has a scar from club foot surgery when he was a child, but these boots help provide him comfort. He could walk through other boots within 4 months or so, but we bought a pair of these around Halloween and they are still ticking. After shelling out the money for these boots, I can totally see why it is worth it now. We ordered another pair recently for more formal occasions. One order versus the other: If you order in the Fall expect the delivery to take almost the complete amount of time that is stated. If you order in the Spring expect to get them earlier than stated. Ordering around Halloween, we received them in about a month. Ordering at the end of March, we received them 2 weeks early.

This is a very comfortable boot from day 1. My only complaint is the metal eyelets get hot when working in extreme temperatures.

These are exactly what my son wanted, and they are classic Dr. Martens boots. He keeps coming back to them, and they're always just right.

I bought these boots on 9/5/2011. They are the first pair of Doc Martens I ever had. I wear them to work everyday where I am a database developer, so I sit at a desk all day. Yesterday, 1/18/2012, I noticed the sole of one boot is spliting horizontally and I can see the underside of the leather upper. I don't imagine it'll be too long before the tread comes off completely. Really sad for an industrial boot.

These boots required no break in - I used 2 socks for the first few wearings, and from then on - one regular pair of thick socks. The boots themselves are a very comfortable, heavy duty "all day" boot; very easy on/off - great support and protection. FYI, the sizing seems to run about a half size to the small side - no more than that.

I bought these for my husband's birthday because his work boots were super worn out and these ones are awesome. We knew they would be though because they are Dr. Martens. They were very high quality and good looking as well. At the time I bought these they had an awesome price probably because of some slight defect but you can't even tell. Sometimes the inside label is sewn on upside down, so they mark the product down. Don't hesitate to buy!! By the way I got the volcano colored ones.

I have had docs for at least 18 years now.I have one pair that is still going strong for 8 years and im kinda getting tired of it so i ordered these.

Sadly its not made in England anymore but China.Im hoping the durability is just as good as the old docs if not i will change my review.

Comfort wise these pairs are alot better than the previous ones i had and require very little to no break in (depending how thick your socks are).After wearing these all day i honestly think that these are going to be used alot.I also chose the Gaucho/volcano color for i have always gotten black in the past.The color works great with blue jeans and the gold stitches looks great as a contrast with the brown.

If i have to be picky the only thing i can think of is i cant tighten around the ankles as much as i want to.Its all the way to the eyelets and it still slightly loose.I guess it more of preference for i always like it tight around the ankles.

I also have flat feet and my podiatrist recommended shoes that have wood shanks and this one fits the bill.I always wear orthotics and my arches never got sore wearing these boots without it.Overall im extremely satisfied with the product and fast shipping too even tho i opted for the free shipping.I actually got it 3 days ahead of time....Thumbs up Amazon.

I've loved this brand since I began wearing boots. These are nothing short of Dr. Marten's continuing reign of total awesomeness! One thing though, you can't be a baby with how much they way, because they are heavy!
