My last pair of Dr. Martens work boots lasted for eight years and these fit exactly like my previous pair.
Really nice boot haven't worn yet but expect to be comfortable for long days on your feet
My son swears these are the most comfortable boot he has ever worn, but they just don't hold up like they should.

    I weld to feed my family and here's a tradesman's review ....
ITS THE BEST BOOT I've EVER SEEN. HANDS DOWN.
The sole is rubber (non conductive), its soft, pliable, durable, and has an excellent non skid tread. Its also reinforced with a durable shank ( you can actually see it suspended in the rubber. Very, very comfortable.
The sole is fused to the upper and heavily stitched.
The upper is well sown, well padded, snug yet roomy.
Durable scrape pad sown on front.
Steel protection from toe to ankle up top(can easily withstand a heavy object falling on your foot), if you're like me and construction is your gig, nothing more important in a work boot.
Met guard is well padded, well stitched,.(if you weld- its has double value.......it also keeps molten slag out of your laces. That could make for a bad day).
Besides all this of that.......it looks kick*** !!!
And for the review that said his sole burned off in some industrial site..... dude must be walking in a acid factory after a spill or maybe a corrosive waste plant where its cool to let corrosives just pudding the floor? .......I'VE CONSTANTLY WALKED ON CONCRETE, NON SKID DECKING, STEEL GRATING, - IF ITS FOUND IN CONSTRUCTION, I'VE WALKED ON IT IN THESE BOOTS. TWO MONTHS NOW AND EXCEPT FOR DIRT AND GRIME THERE EXACTLY AS I TOOK EM OUT OF THE BOX!!!!

I bought this because I am a welder. I use these shoes because I am not allowed on jobsite unless wearing proper protection according to OSHA and rules. Lately I dropped a T-Joint molten piece of steel and it was covered in slag onto my foot but i was wear this shoes at the time. There was no pain. no injury

When using GMAW often sticks are part-used and lie on the ground. I step on the sticks and melting sole of shoe. Sole does not withstanding this so I remove a star. When use MIG a hot wire was stuck in ground and was very hot, and I stepped on the wire. The wire went into sole, with such low resistance. When chip slag the slag was hot and melted to lace. So after 2 weeks daily using these shoes on bottom have much burns and melts. The leather will be ok because I must wear spats and I use shoe polish.

I've tried several other brands of safety boots, and these Dr. Martin Ironbridge ST Met boots fit the bill better than the other brands. the boots are lite for Steel toe which id a plus when your wearing the boots for a long work day. I appreciate having the extra plate to cover the top of my foot for the just in case I or someone else drops something on my foot. The boot has a nice look too.

While they are on the heavy side of work boots they are much lighter than my old Carolina and Georgia met guards were, after all protection is the key thus they are going to be a bit heavy. They are very comfortable, probably the most comfortable saftey boot I've ever worn/owned. Stitching is great and has held up well throughout the boot. The only bad thing I have against these boots is the sole tore just under the ball of my foot causing the welt stiching to rip out as well. That said I weld daily in a tank manufacturing setting as a Welding/Fab. Supervisor so I'm constantly squatting or bending into awkward positions. They are great to walk in as well. I'm pretty critical of things like this, mine are worn out with stitching torn from soles about 1/4 the way around the inside of each foot. Left sole is crack all the way through, all the way across which happened at about 9 mths of wear and I'm currently at about 13 mths. There is a hole from accidentally having my foot on a grounding stud while welding seated. Soles melt quickly. I also took them to a boot repair place as soon as I got them to have brass eyelets put in the lower holes as it's just punched leather, although it's doubled. Didn't want to take the chance, well worth the extra $12. Thinking of buying another pair as DM says that they can't be resoled. I came out about 4 mths sort of my goal to replace these and about 6-8 mths sort of what I thought lifespan would be.

Pros: comfort while standing or walking, safe, well made, respectively cheap

Cons: soles too soft for continuous squatting, not re-solable,

These are the 4th time I have bought these boots in the past 5 years. The only reason I didn't buy them 5 years in a row is cause the pair I had finally wore out and had no choice but to purchase another pair. I find these Boots to be very comfortable on my feet as I am on them pretty much all day when working. I like the way the look and feel. My opinion and mine only is that these are by far the best work boot I have evr put on my feet.

Really good quality and price as well as very comfortable. The only thing that I didn't care for is that they are a little heavy, but still a great boot.
