the jury is still out. it's not the shoes fault. i had to wear them, relatvely unbroken in, all day while running all over 3 airports. i bought the shoes to replace some very beautiful english loafers. these took a shine so-so as they are sort of greasy. but i got the stitching darkened up a bit with loads of shoe polish. they look okay. the toes aren't stitched properly. they toe on the right shoe is flat on one side giving it a lopsided appearence. not the worst i've ever seen but i know it's there. noone else seemed to notice.
the shoes like any pair of doc martens are murder if you wear them for to long at first. i'm sure that once they're broken in they'll be incredibly conmfortable. oh...and the stolen expensive loafers?.....we're found and returned shortly after i purchased these. they look better but i know the docs will be alot more comfortable for the pub. the expensive ones will be for dressier stuff. the docs will be for the pub and ska shows.
the other thing is that the shoes seem to run a bit narrow. but as with any loafer you have to let the shoe become a little broken in to your foot.
amazon got the shoes here so fast i hardly had time to anticipate their arrival. good job amazon!
