I wish I had known how big these were going to be, however I am a woman and not a man. Despite the bulkiness and size I was astounded at the immediate comfort, protection, and over solidity of the boot. Within the first three weeks they were scratched due to the amount of broken dishes and glasses. I would have died had I purchased the little nonslip sneakers I was originally told too. On top of the protection, they insulate your feet well! In another part of the kitchen, its frequently cold and I felt fine thanks to these shoes. They're excellent and if you need to make sure your feet are going to be sliced and you're not going to fall these are the ones for you. Please be aware: You need to wear two pairs of socks when breaking them in. I worked in a shoe store with great shoes, however actual leather especially in boots requires a little breaking in. The break in time is about two weeks.

The boots are just six months with no abuse and the seam close to the toe separated. I have been using the protective oil and was hoping this pair would last at least a year.

Wasted money.

i bought this boots for work, and Im very happy with them. The boots do required a break-in, the leather its a bit stiff. I have them for about 6-7 months and still in good shape!!

Edit:
almost 2 years old and they are still going!! most boots that I ve bought in the past for $100 dollars only lasted me a year or so. Im very pleased with these boots that Im buying another pair soon.

Love the construction and quality. Very comfortable boots and pretty light weight for steel toe boots. Color is pretty close to the picture. All round, exactly what I expected from Dr. Martens.

These boots are great. I'll be honest, the first few days of breaking them in hurt my feet, so I just wore two pairs of socks for the first week and that helped a lot. Now they are so comfortable, I'm on my feet all day and these were just what I needed. The leather over the safety toe seems a bit soft though, at some point I expect they will need some sort of hardener treatment. My last pair of Doc's lasted a few years but those were made in England, we'll see if the China made ones will last as long, time will tell.

First pair of chinese made docs I've owned and quality has gone down the tubes. There was an irregularity with the welt right out of the box, but I'd decided just to patch it up with shoe goop since the boots did fit well and the air ware soles were a definite pleasure on concrete and steel gratings. Still, 8 months after purchase the seams are coming apart. I would not recommend this boot to anyone for any reason....waste of money.

Fits really snug around the arches of my feet and around the ankles. No chance of rolling my ankle in these bad boys. The interior soles are more contoured to the foot with this model than I have seen in other Dr. Martens' boots. Pretty comfortable. The exterior soles seems to grip the floor better than my other Docs. I only wish the tongue on the boot wasn't so cushioned, but it serves a purpose. That's just an aesthetic complaint. I like to lace up my boots tight so that little of the tongue is viewable. I'm a girl, so aesthetics do count some, but I am also a construction worker. All in all, Dr. Martens makes great boots. You definitely get your money's worth. They last for many, many years.

These are some great boots. . I have been wearing them everyday since I bought them. They stay cool.. The steel toe, well works. And they're just all around good.

I tried several different boot manufacturers in my search for and outdoor utility boot. Something that was supportive, comfortable and would last. These have done the job while working in the garage, cutting trees and hiking through the woods. They are heavy, but well worth the extra weight.
