Thank you for your feedback.
The polish is yellow like and has a oily base, but as expected as most polish.
I put this all over a 14 year old pair of boots that had NEVER been cared for and revived them to almost new.
It does what it is supposed to: makes your Doc Martens look shiny again (shinier than out of the box).

When I bought my first pair of Docs at 'The Buckle' in the mid-90's it was second nature to buy the matching 'Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam'. I loved the stuff, went through quite a few cans over the years. But there is one thing I always hated about it (besides the smell) - the Beeswax. It seems to dry out the leather, or actually like the Beeswax blocks the other two main ingredients from doing their job. Either way it feels luxurious for a night or two, but like clockwork the leather starts to feel very dry and "firm" again... and the white leftover Beeswax starts to show.

After a while I realized the three ingredients in 'Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam' do certain things: Coconut Oil (natural oil replenisher), Lanolin (leather moisturizer), and the Beeswax (water/stain repellant). One day at the local Farmer's Co-op I decided to see what they use for horse saddles - two steps: 'Neatsfoot Oil' (natural oil replenisher) and 'Mink Oil' (leather moisturizer and stain/water repellant). 'Neatsfoot Oil' (cows' oily shin/feet fat) and 'Mink Oil' (minks' fat) both do a far better job than 'Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam' ever did. I only have to use them every few months and the leather soaks the stuff right up and stays supple for months, if not years. I've used those two on shoes to jackets, couches to car interiors, etc. and they keep the leather smelling just like that leather shop smell. Keeps the leather feeling like... skin ;)

To sum it up: 'Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam' does a pretty good job, but for those of us looking for a superior job (and a lot cheaper) try those two products.... your Docs will love you for it!

I got this to restore an old coat. I worked so well that I use it on everything. Protects and shines. BUT - the most amazing thing is that it restores dead leather. I'll post a few pictures of the boots I restored. I used Aldo's leather sealer on it and it TOTALLY dried out the boots. I was mad. But then I remember I had Dr. Martens and I KNEW that it would restore it. I recommend this - it works well.

This is hands down the best product to restore/keep your cherished leather goods. As a lifelong biker I have boots, chaps, jackets, vests, etc. that have been to the gates of hell and back in rain, dust, snow, you get it?
An old biker showed me a great little trick I have used for 40 years. Follow the instructions for applying Wonder Balsam and when you have finished, use a blow dryer just to heat up the leather enough for the pores to expand a little bit and absorb the product. Now instead of Wonder Balsam laying on the surface, it is inside the leather leaving your boots literally inside out protected.

I have used Dr.Martens Wonder Balsam for probably 20 years. It is the best cleaner/restorer/conditioner for leather shoes ever. The vaseline-like gel restores the natural oils and conditions leather like nothing else I have ever used. I have even used this product on dress shoes to recondition the leather before applying colored polish. On casual shoes, this product is all I ever use.
My order was fulfilled by "The Shoe Mall". They were excellent to deal with. My first delivery was crushed by the USPS. I notified The Shoe Mall via email describing what had happened to my order, and they simply sent out a new mailing, immediately.

I purchased this for use on my Doc Marten boots. While it doesn't completely get all of the scuffs out it does make them look much better and effectively waterproofs the leather as well. The thing I really love about this product is the smell. I've used leather waxes before that left my hands smelling like chemicals for days this product has a nice scent and washes right off of hands with a little soap and water.

This is my 3rd container of Wonder Balsam. It does a great job of moisturizing the leather on my shoes. It's a little oily, but that's to be expected. You just wip on a liberal amount, wait a couple hours for it to penetrate the leather, and then wipe off the excess.

This product is magic in a jar. I own a pair of Men's UGG Australia Capulin Cinnamon Leather which I received as a gift last Christmas. I wore them hard over the winter last year and then to a tailgate party in a gravel lot this fall. Needless to say, they were wrecked. The leather was faded and they were scuffed and scratched all over. The toes were so scuffed that they looked terrible and I didn't think anything could save them. Then, I discovered Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam and they were saved. Just a little bit of this product on the included applicator was rubbed into the boots and they look brand new. You can tell where the scuffs were on the toes because they were very damaged but just barely. I think if I would have applied it after the initial scuffing they would have healed. Check out my product images for proof!

I used this on my new, knee-high, Dr. Martens (1B60 20) to soften the leather and keep it protected. So far, I absolutely love it. I used a very small amount, and it soaked into the leather nicely. My only complaint is that half of the container is empty space for the sponge it comes with. I was definitely expecting more product, but you use such a tiny amount, that I foresee one container lasting for a long time.
