I like these shoes, but since Docs started manufacturing in China it seems the quality is not what it used to be. The strap was short and I had to take them to a shoe maker to soften the back top part of the heal. It was a good buy for the price I paid, I would not pay full price.

This has to be one of the 'sweetest' Dr. Martens ever. They look awesome with a kilt. And the red tartan is now available.Unlike the earlier reviews, these shoes fit perfectly and are totally comfortable. It may be that the smaller sizes and smaller feet experience trouble with the height of the back of the shoe but in UK 9 they are perfect.

I love these shoes. The only thing that is hardest is break in time. The backs do cut into the back of the ankle, however every pair of mary jane docs I have ever had, have that issue. I just accept it as a part of life and move on. After the break in period and the backs are stretched they will be the most comfy shoe you have ever owned. Docs are the only company that I love. I am a die hard and will always say that Docs are the best ;)
