Although more roomy than some might like, I am happy this boot is not too tight. The rubber sole is perfect for those folks who prefer a polished look without slipping on slick soles. AND this is one of the only affordable boots I've found with a cute heel thats not too high but still ultra feminine. I'll certainly buy another pair at some point!

I AM NOT MUCH OF A HEEL PERSON SO I HESITATED WHEN ORDERING THESE. GOT THEM AND TOOK THEM ON VACATION WITH ME. WOW...VERY COMFY, VERY GOOD LOOKING, EXCELLENT WALKING BOOT. MY FEET WERE HAPPY AND DID NOT MIND THE HEEL AT ALL!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE BOOTS TO EVERYONE!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

I ordered these boots straight from the official US Dr. Martens store because 1 they were on sale and 2 they looked awesome online. Over the years I've heard nothing but good things about Dr. Martens and expected nothing less from them. When I got the boots I was disappointed to find out the zipper on the side of the boots split as soon as I put them on. I called customer service about them and was told they have been receiving that kind of problem a lot from different customers who also bought the DIA shoe. I would have liked to exchange them for a new pair since they actually were really cool looking, but I didn't want to take the chance that they would break again. I returned them (they wanted me to pay for the shipping, but I refused and made them send me a FED-EX postage sticker) and because of all this I will probably never buy another pair of Dr. Martens. It seems like their standards of shoemaking are not what they used to be.

A few years ago my husband took a stand against clunky, bulky shoes. After a little soul (and sole) searching I understood why. They did nothing for me. They made my legs look short and wide. They made me clunk when I walked. And in all honesty, they were not that attractive. So I (reluctantly) agreed with Mr. Lewis and gave away my clunky college shoes and moved on to slimmer lines. When a great concert came around for a band I had loved for YEARS, I knew I had to have a pair of Dr. Martens before I could even consider going. Imagine my surprise when I found these beauties. While they still have a rugged sole (and soul) the line is more sleek and the ankle boot itself is just darn adorable. I found it to be true to fit and as comfortable as I remember my old clunkers. The heel is nice and you can stand or walk in them for hours - believe me, I know. They stood up to an outdoor concert in Austin, Texas in February weather and lived to tell the tale. I spent a total of five hours (straight) on my feet with no blisters or swollen bits. They were definately worth the money and, my husband loves them too!
