These boots fit me perfectly right out of the box and look amazing. Totally perfect for anyone going for the rivet head look and definitely comfortable for dancing till 2am. That said, please note that I have pretty short wide calfs (I'm 5'1"). AND I ordered a size 7 when I usually wear an 8. So if you order these, (or probably any Dr. Marten's) order a size smaller. They run big.

these boots are so great, but since they don't come in half sizes they're tricky. There is no breaking in the leather, so soft. In Docs I am usually a uk6, but in these I am a uk5. The size up is huge. The size down is perfect, except there's a breaking in area between the toes and first buckle. They are all different too, the first pair I tried was all leather inside and the next had a plaid flannel lining. When it comes to shoes, be aware of fit for every designer, amazon charges for returns even if their description is wrong.

Fit is a bit large, especially around the ankle and calf. Boot will definitely accommodate jeans being tucked in - even boot cut. I would suggest ordering down a size if you are in between sizes (no half sizes). I wear a 5-5 1/2 and these are a bit big on me, but nothing too concerning, especially because there isn't a smaller size available (UK 3 is a US 5 - 5 1/2)

I wasn't sure if these boots would be too "hardcore" for my petite frame and style but they give just enough edge with out looking costume-y. Perfect for winter rides on the Harley as well as walking around town. They hit just below my knee (I'm just 5ft tall) and are a bit slouchy.

I've been contemplating these boots for a few months now, and am glad I got them! I like that they are Dr. Martens but don't have the typical "doc" look and still offer all that you would want in a riding boot.

Love these shoes and can't wait to wear them!

I bought these boots in 2 sizes so I would make sure to get the right one. The size 5 is perfect. I love these boots! They're great for riding and look oh, so sexy with jeans tucked in and a leather halter top! Very comfortable, no break in. My next pair of riding boots are going to be Docs. They're much more comfortable than the HD boots I've worn for years!

LOVE THESE BOOTS! Ok, initially I bought them for motorcycle riding as Docs have excellent soles and are generally fairly sturdy. While I love the look and fit, I think it's important to mention that the leather is very soft, and therefore not supportive (ie, in the event of accident, these are not saving your ankles. period.)They fit perfectly around my foot, they are narrow like my feet, and I listened to the advice from previous reviewers that they run large, and I am happy with the US 10, when I would normally need a 10 1/2 or 11. Overall, a great, comfortable boot. Probably better worn as a fashionable accessory than as safety gear.

This was my 1st Doc Marten purchase and I'm happy with it. The boots are the right height for me...I'm 5'5". They do run a little big and I could have gotten away with the next size smaller. If you are looking for a tough looking boot, then these are for you! I can't wait for spring to wear them with a little sundress to mix the girly with the tough. Love that look!

I had no problem with sizing. I've worn size 5 UK Docs for the last 15+ years and they've always fit like a charm. These are no exception. Docs do seem to run big, though-- I usually wear a 7.5-8 US in other shoes. I am (like another reviewer) cursed with skinny calves, and these don't fit quite as snuggly as I'd like around the top, but I'm going to take the other reviewer's idea of punching an extra hole in the leg straps. But these are definitely way cool, the leather is soft and they look great right out of the box. I think they'll break in really well and look even better once they've seen a little action.

They may fit a bit awkward at first, but if you get use to them...these are amazing shoes! I get complements all the time! Can't wait till Fall so I can start wearing them again!

I've been searching for ages for black boots with the right rugged look, and finally found them in these boots. I'm a true 8, and have noticed with other Doc Martens shoes that I can get away with a medium to heavier sock with the uk6 size. I found the same thing with these boots in the uk6, so I guess I would agree that they run a little bigger than true sizes. I plan on wearing them mostly with jeans, so it works perfectly for me. I love the way these feel to wear and definitely walk with more attitude in them. The upper is soft leather and pretty flexible- they don't stand up on their own. They have some nice weight to them, though, as they have that heavier DM sole I like so much. Putting them on with non-skinny jeans, like boot cuts, can be a juggling act as the middle section is separated from the sides- but well worth the effort. You can't see the section separation when they're all zipped up. I haven't tried them with tights yet and might have to add a buckle hole or two for that since my calves are on the thin side. These are comfortable right out of the box and still feel great after wearing them all day.
