Our original copy of Dr. Mom has split into two pieces. It has lost its cover and backing, and it is missing several pages. We have used this book like a bible for eight years raising our first three boys. We are having a new baby now, and we need a new copy. I seriously cannot think of any book that we have used and relied on so much. By the way, it blows all the others like it away.

I bought this book when I had my first child. It has provided me with alot of helpful information, especially at night or on the weekend when you're not sure whether or not to call the doctor. I have worn my original copy out and am about to buy a new one. Many thanks to Dr. Neifert!

I recieved this book when I had my first child and any time we have had a question or problem with health or accidents this is the first thing I turn to when in doubt. With the diffinitions of illnesses and disorders in the book you can go directly to the symptons and treatment and further prevention listed in the back of the book. It goes step by step with the new parent from the delivery of the baby, brest feeding and circucision with illustrations to name a few. The first months of a baby's life to starting them potty training and discipiline. Dosages of medication. Understanding there behaviors.

These are only a very small portion of the content in this book. We have owned a copy for eight years that is worn out literally. We are now ordering a copy for a family member and a new copy for ourselves.

The only regret is that we have not located a hard cover version of this book.

I have had this book for ALL three of my children (ages 14, 10 & 4) and I still use it. The book is a great resource of information for any mother that needs immediate answers for a child who is sick. Dr. Mom is wonderful at explaining caring for children from A to Z, especially illnesses. I would recommend this book to ANY mother as a worthwhile investment for a peace of mind.

I have loved this book and recommended it to quite a few people. It seems like so many questions a new mom has are answered in such a readable and informative way. Great resource book you'll go back to again and again. I highly recommend it to expecting parents and new parents.

I received this book as a shower gift for my first child in 1991. This book was my bible of parenting! My copy is in several pieces, both front and back covers are missing, as well as several pages.

Now my oldest is having a baby and has requested her own copy. She remembers the book well and plans for it to help her through parenting!

I found this book to be invaluable! I first discovered this book almost 20 yrs. ago with my firstborn. The fact that Dr. Neifert was not only a pediatrician, but also a mom (of 5!) was appealining in and of itself. But the fact that she could provide information/advice both professionally AND personally sold me on it. I referenced this book on more than a few occasions, and found the information to be absolutely dead on! I recommend and have recommended this book to EVERY parent or parent-to-be! Her advice and/or personal experience(s) have NEVER failed me. I was able to care for my children and on several other occasions, able to diagnose their condition(s), usually before they even saw their own pediatrician (and her advice was ALWAYS exactly what the doctor ordered)! Dr. Neifert NEVER let me down and I HIGHLY recommend this book!

The book is a handy reference on just about every health related issue you need to know about for a child from birth- 5 years old. The book is well written, comprehensive and easy to use with a friendly tone. Once you have one, you'll buy one for every other new mom you know.

I used this before, during & after preganancy & still today with my teenage daughters. Great for looking up symptoms & knowing how to handle any situation that may come your way. I still have the book with my first aid items for reference even though my copy is now 18 years old.....
