A Masterpiece,

Oh No is quietly becoming one of the best producers in hip hop. I really liked his last album using samples from Galt Macdermot, but this album should bring his name into the public's consciousness, although it probably won't. Similarly to that album, he displays a creative intuition in looping the source material and choosing good parts to sample. People who have heard Egon's Turkish funk podcast and the Selda album will recognize some of the songs that Oh No uses on this album, and he makes them all sound good. What impresses me is his diversity and the many moods that he covers throughout the album, which is reminiscent of Donuts and the Beat Konducta albums. He is not simply a Madlib clone, he has his own voice, and his style is a throwback to the classic hip hop sound. Anyone who wants an alternative to the watered down music out there now should support Oh No and Stones Throw Records by buying this album.

For people who can't handle just straight instrumentals this album may not be for you. With no song over 2 minutes the tracks zip by but you never stop the head movement. The beats on each track are amazing and the album flows together excellently! When it all comes to an end and starts back over you find it hard to stop it from doing so, it's good enough to just let it play all the way through again.
Yet another Stones Throw masterpiece and another great album from Oh No... It makes you wonder if that family can do anything wrong to music. I highly recommend you check this album out, but if you can't handle music without vocals then you may not appreciate this as much as others. I still would recommend you give it a listen, sometimes you may find that vocals can ruin a good beat and all you need is that head nodding rhythm anyway.

This collection of beats from Madlib's lil bro was beautifully crafted! It is simply not fair that so much talent runs in that family. With this one, Oh No stands on his own beside his brother as one of the best beat bangers in the game. Anyone into instrumentals and beats will LOVE this one!

Oh no is definitely up there with Mad Lib when it comes to producing. Great album of tracks any true hip hop lover should have this in their collection.
