As a long-time fan of Dr. Pepper I thought I'd give this sauce a try. I wasn't expecting it to taste very much like Dr. Pepper and figured it'd just be a pretty standard barbecue. Not only does it have the distinct Dr. Pepper flavoring, it works very well on everything I've tried it with - chicken, burgers, and in baked beans. Even some people that aren't Dr. Pepper soda fans liked it. If you're a fan of barbecue sauce and a fan of Dr. Pepper you're almost guaranteed to like it!

We used this to cook out, and everything tasted great ~ thick but not too thick to brush on meat on the grill; also just right for dipping! We liked the flavor, tangy with a hint of sweetness. The 6 pack is great, we kept some and are giving some as part of gifts (pair with BBQ tools) and will definitely purchase again.

I bought this for my boyfriend because it combines his two favorite things in the world: Dr. Pepper and barbecue sauce. He loves this sauce and uses it for almost everything. We used it to make a Dr. Pepper barbecue chicken pizza...he was a very pleased with it.

Now, my opinion...I like Dr. Pepper, don't love it. This sauce just doesn't mix well with my taste buds and leaves an odd after taste for me.

I'd say if you are a Dr. Pepper fanatic who loves to cook then you'd probably enjoy this.

This is a great product for the fans of the soda. Almost smells like Dr. Pepper and has a great taste. Great for Dr. Pepper and BBQ enthusiasts.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. We are big Dr.Pepper fans, & I frequently use Dr. Pepper soda in my cooking. When I saw the BBQ sauce, I thought perfect, I'll have it on hand & won't have to make it myself. This is a MAJOR disappointment. It's not sweet, it's more acid than I like, it doesn't taste at all like Dr. Pepper, there are no indications in the ingredients list that it is remotely related to Dr.Pepper, about the only thing I can say good about this stuff - it does bring some heat. Save your money. This is not what you're looking for!

This bbq sauce is absolutely delicious. I have shared this with my friends, and now they are buying it.

I got this on a lark since my nephew is a huge BBQ sauce fan, and has never tried this particular brand. I can take or leave Dr. Pepper soda. It's not bad, but I don't exactly seek it out. So I was not expecting that I'd really care much for this sauce.

It's actually quite good! It excels as a dipping sauce, especially for chicken. Not bad on pulled pork either. I also tried it as a cooking sauce and was less impressed - not bad, but it really is best as a dipping sauce. As expected, it's pretty sweet, but has enough tang so you get a variety of flavors.

While I still prefer my own homemade BBQ sauce, for a bottled version this is pretty good.

I like this sauce on grilled beef and once again it has disappeared from stores.

I won a bottle of this originally from buying a bunch of 2 liter Dr. Pepper bottles. I never heard of it and assumed it would taste horrible, but after it came I was pleasantly surprised to find it was up there with Chik-Fil-A BBQ Sauce. It's sweet and not overbearingly spicy like most store bought BBQ sauces are. Great as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets/tenders and good on ribs too. If only Chik-Fil-A would bottle their sauce, but this is a great alternative.

When I saw this I though "I HAVE TO try this." To be honest, it was a waste. It was very watery and definitely NOT "kickin'." I really couldn't taste ANY Dr. Pepper in this product. If I had to do it all over again I would have ignored the novelty of the product and looked for a quality BBQ sauce. This is what I recommend you do. Try Tony Roma's BBQ sauce. Comes in a lot of great flavors and it is nice and thick.
