Overall was pretty comfortable. I do not like the color of the wooden heel, and it is not finished off. It looks like if you accidentally got the wooden heel wet or dirty, that it would soak right in. I am going to stain the heel dark brown, and seal it with a matte finish. The front sole is soft and pliable. However, the back sole (on the heel) is hard, and clunks against the floor when I walk. It would have been a much better shoe if the rear sole was pliable also.

I bought a pair of "Flex soles" from Avon a few years ago, they were 4 inch heels also. And they were much easier to walk in, and overall more comfortable.

I'm older and don't wear heels as often as I used to so I looked for a shoe that would be comfortable for my aging feet. Of course, I was looking for something very specific and these shoes fit the bill. The wider and padded toe box helped to keep your toes from being squeezed to a point. The slight platform and wide strap helped make the shoe more stable. My only complaint is that when you walk on a floor or concrete, the wood heel makes a loud "clunk" sound. The fun Spring color is another plus. The transaction through Amazon was super smooth and the shipment was lightening fast.
