Ginseng tea will not accomplish a lot of the health miracles that are sometimes claimed for it, but many people, me included, find that it increases stamina and gently helps maintain a high energy level. For many years, Stash Teas offered a triple ginseng tea, which included American, Korean and Siberian ginseng, though the latter is not true ginseng. I loved this tea and was deeply disappointed when Stash discontinued it. Eventually I tried a triple ginseng from Yogi Teas (based, like Stash, in Oregon) called "Ginseng Vitality". I found the Yogi version of triple ginseng OK, but it contains nine other spices, including cinnamon, licorice and ginger, that give it an overpowering scent and flavor. The Stash original had only a light citrus character from lemon and orange peel. So I kept looking for something that was more simple and direct, like that Stash product had been. I finally found "Dr. Stuart's Triple Ginseng", a British product, on Amazon, and I just love it. Its hibiscus, chamomile and peppermint flavors stay well in the background, delivering a fine, fresh taste. Dr. Stuart's triple ginseng substitutes Brazilian ginseng for American ginseng, perhaps because of the relatively high cost of American ginseng, but the beneficial effects of the tea seem similar. Overall, a great product for people who appreciate ginseng tea. A real find.
