I cannot get enough of R. Austin Freeman's books. Being a
Scientist and Physician, he wrote books that informed you as
well as entertained you. This book is comprised of seven of
Dr. Thorndyke's cases: The Case of The White Footprints;
The Blue Scarab; The New Jersey Sphinx; The Touchtone; A Fisher of Men; The Stolen Ingots (my personal favorite-a real
twister) and The Funeral Pyre. Dr. Thorndyke is the perfect
mystery solver. Someone you wish you could know.
