I cannot get enough of R. Austin Freeman's books. Being aScientist and Physician, he wrote books that informed you as well as entertained you. This book is comprised of seven of Dr. Thorndyke's cases: The Case of The White Footprints; The Blue Scarab; The New Jersey Sphinx; The Touchtone; A Fisher of Men; The Stolen Ingots (my personal favorite-a real twister) and The Funeral Pyre. Dr. Thorndyke is the perfect mystery solver. Someone you wish you could know. |
