5.0 out of 5 stars Another great adventure from start to finish.
This story is amazing. It takes place on a strange planet full of all kinds of creatures. When the Doctor and Donna land on the planet they are in the middle of some kind of battle that doesn't seem to end. It involves humans that turn into large bugs(insects). From Greek myth half human/half horse. And a giant robot that tries to kill all the bugs. It kept me wondering...

3.0 out of 5 stars Dr. Who Goes Audio!
David Tennant's reading is great. The story very typical of the TV series. You see the Doctor running around saving the day. You can see the twinkle in his eye and his serious glare. However, the other characters are never fully "formed" due to Tennant never being able to capture what makes Donna "Donna" or the supporting cast so important to the story line. This would...

5.0 out of 5 stars absolutely brilliant, April 14, 2011

i've listened to tons of the recent doctor who audiobooks, in particular the ones read by david tennant. i've enjoyed most of them, but this one is, by far, my favorite. the story is good, it feels like an actual episode. it's true i'd listen to tennant read the phone book, but this particular story has a decent plot, and the doctor and donna are written so well, their dialogue so spot on, i was amazed. there's a speech the doctor gives about weapons at the end that is magnificent. hearing the tenth doctor's voice give it gave me goose bumps. if you're missing the tenth doctor, i highly recommend listening to this book. it's a bit overpriced imo, but absolutely brilliant. i originally bought this in 2008, and i just listened to it for the second time. i'm sure i'll listen to it again.

However, the other characters are never fully "formed" due to Tennant never being able to capture what makes Donna "Donna" or the supporting cast so important to the story line. This would have been a great episode for the show. For the David Tennant or Doctor Who fan who is looking for a nice way to relax and/or something a little different to add to their collection.

If you're a Dr Who fan and your favorite Doctor is the 11th, David Tennant, you'll love this cd. I don't usually listen to books on CD's because often times I get distracted and find my mind wonders to the point where I have no idea what was said or where the story went. But not with this one. I found myself totally enthralled with the story. Tennant does a great job reading the story and keeping in character. I was really sad when Tennant morphed into Matt Smith. For me, the new doctor isn't the same. But with the books an CD, my Doctor lives on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Audio of Dr. Who Pest Control, March 1, 2011

David Tennant does a wonderful job with this story. He has so many different voices that you forget its one person reading the entire story. Its a good mix of realistic fiction. I enjoyed every minute of it and listening to David's voice for a couple of hours makes it all the more wonderful.
