It may seem like a pricey book but it is worth every penny. It is beautifully illustrated and gives an accurate picture of the role of the modern day draft horse. If you are tired of draft horse books that only look to the past, this book is definitely for you.

I had gotten this book years ago, as one of my first "draft horse" books, It has some of the wonderful images that Mr Mischka is well know for in his draft and driving calenders, as well as background history. If you are at all intrested in the Gental Giants of the horse world, this book is for you!

I didn't know until a few minutes ago that Amazon sold Bob Mischka's wonderful, wonderful, wonderful book. I bought my copy elsewhere, probably at The Ohio State Fair some years ago, but I can assure potential buyers that it's a treasury for draft horse lovers - 166 big pages of sheer bliss with superb pictures and excellent descriptive text. Bob deserves a medal for this and his other books as well as his superb calendars. Get it or them for Christmas!
