Just a hodge-podge of early television and character development. I liked the music and drama, and knowing that many of the stories were taken from real-life events in Los Angeles. In the series that I bought, Joe Friday's partner was Ben Alexander known as Officer Frank Smith, and Frank was right there playing second fiddle and feeding the lines to the boss. Their hats and thin ties were right on, and so was Joe's clipped discussions. The series hasn't stood the test of time too well, but it was fun to revisit the old tv shows..and of course, my childhood early TV days.
