4.0 out of 5 stars I have seen it
In this tape a new character will be introduce. A young man with a very special mission. But unfortunately his name and purpose will be said in the next tape.

For those of you who thought that Friza was dead, well you have another thing coming. Also there is a new Supersayajin in town and is not Goku. As for Goku he is nowere to be seen... yet. As for the Z warrior...

3.0 out of 5 stars The start of dub season 4...
Well... this starts the first new arc that was completely done in-house by Funimation. True, Trunks has a great many fans, and his appearance is a favorite of many, but the dubs of these episodes aren't all that great. Almost all of the lines are changed from the original, including Trunks's "I have come here to kill you" at the end of the second episode on...

Don't want to spoil the suprise or the fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ginyu is Great, January 11, 2004

This review is from: Dragon Ball Z Captian Ginyu: Assult/ Double Cross [VHS] (VHS Tape)
the ginyu saga is one box-set of non stop action. there are the three main story arcs in it that are Nail vs Frieza, Goku vs Ginyu, and the munchkins on a frantic search to get the 7 seven dragonballs out of the hands of the enemy. wow... it was great with lots of action and some unique surprises (ginyu's power really made me wonder if that was his original body...) it is a great addition to any dragonball z collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mirari no Trunks makes one Hell of an entrance, May 18, 2000
By A Customer
Freezer is back, along with his father, King Kold. Son Gokou is on Yardatto, so nobody other than the Z Warrior (with Vegeta) to defend Earth. Or so it seems. Making a dramatic entrance, Mirari no Trunks, the future son of Vegeta and Buruma, comes out of his time machine, goes Super Saiya-jin (which sends Freezer into panic attacks), and royally whoops up on Freezer and King Kold with his huge sword, slicing them into oblivion. If you like DBZ or action anime, then this is a great tape for you.

3.0 out of 5 stars The start of dub season 4..., May 17, 2000

(REAL NAME)
Well... this starts the first new arc that was completely done in-house by Funimation. True, Trunks has a great many fans, and his appearance is a favorite of many, but the dubs of these episodes aren't all that great. Almost all of the lines are changed from the original, including Trunks's "I have come here to kill you" at the end of the second episode on the tape, which was changed to "Ah, so you must be Frieza." Yeah, really great choice of replacement. *smacks forehead*. Freeza's part seems to be changed from the vengeful and skeptical super-tyrant, to someone who's just trying to impress his father. And King Cold's voice... here we go with more insinuation that Freeza (and his relatives) are gay. Funimation apparently just can't leave well enough alone, and give the poor heartless killer a break.

So... if you want these episodes, you're better off with the DVD. They're fairly early ones, so they're not quite as flashy as, say, the World Tournament ones, but they're decent enough. Besides, the subtitles on all of Funimation's new DVDs are done by Steve "Daimao" Simmons, who really knows his stuff.

So... that's that.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great video, April 30, 2000
In this tape, the Z warriors worst nightmare has come true, Frieza is alive and him and his father King Cold are coming to destroy the Earth. Without Goku, all hope is lost. Then a mysterious young man appears and challenges Friza and King Cold.
