the end of DBZ,
By
This review is from: Dragon Ball Z - Kid Buu - A New Beginning (DVD)
It's sad but all good things have to come to and end. After over 400 episodes start from the original DB, the series manages to come to an end that leaves the audience hungry for more. This is incredible in anime, where the average series is about 30 episodes. Despite GT, which is not a bad series, DB started with Akira Toriyama and in my opinion, ended with him. GT has great animation and moments which capture the essense of DB , but it's just not the same. This is the true ending of the epic DB saga and it does not disapoint. Although, the 1st episode, where Gokou protects the dinosaur egg is boring at times (even though Chi-Chi's dancing is far from boring), the Tenchiaki tournament is exciting and the only right way to finish DBZ,which has had so many of these tournaments. The fruity guy fighter hitting on Trunks, Vegita (with his back turned) knocking some punk ... kid 10 miles away, and Pan (Gohan and Videl's daughter) are all funny. The final fight between Gokou and the reincarnation of Majin Buu, Ubuu, is the kind of fight that reminds us why we love this series so much. If there wasn't an Evangelion or Cowboy Bebop, DBZ would arguably be the greatest anime series of all time. 4 star DVD, 5 stars of sadness

The Batttle of Uub and Goku,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Dragon Ball Z - Kid Buu - A New Beginning (DVD)
Man things are starting to become good again back on earth. Gohan married Videl and gave birth to Pan. She is entering the tournament just like the other Z warriors. She has to face and huge guy. Goku of course cheated his way to face Uub. Plus, after the battle Goku offers to teach Uub everything he knew and Uub agreed. Goku told the others and they were surprised. While they were training a small preview shows the tournament results i think. This all just about the tournament i hope they come up with more after GT about DBZ. Man i just wish Uub would be as strong as goku and learn Super Saiyan 1-4. You know that Uub is very strong after goku trains him right. I think Uub trained with Goku and Majin Buu (Fat Buu).

While dragonball gt was a completely different series that wasn't quite planned, this series ended wrong.Instead of ending this series with a happy ending that tied things up, they decided they were going to make MORE episodes instead of just ending it. I loved dragonball z, but then they started repeating a theme. No, the cell saga was good but this dvd ends the great DBZ in no way what-so-ever. I would suggest you lower your standards for the so-called great ending...

Awesome Video!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Dragon Ball Z: Kid Buu - New Begin [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Well they finish off the Dragonball Z series pretty well with a happy ending.Majin buu comes back as a 10 year old boy and he is fighting in the world martial arts tournament. But when the fighting begins, Goku notices that the reincarnated buu is not nearly as strong as the buu he faced. So he tells his family and friends that he will be going to live with Uub(the name of new buu spelled backwards) for a while to train him.Goku doesnt even have to go super saiyan to bring down Uub and Uub also doesnt know how to fly. Before that episode though, all the dbz friends and family get together for a party but Goku is out protecting eggs for these dinosaurs and Chi-Chi offers bulma a trade for mates(Vegeta for Goku) since Goku is never on time. On the second episode, 10 Years have passed and Chi-Chi looks pretty old as well as Bulma. You get to see Bulma's new baby Bula and you get to see Gohan grown up as a major dork. But he and Videl have a baby named Pan that is realy realy strong. You also get to see Goten all Grown up as I teenager. Overall this is a must-have video for DBZ collectors. It is just a lay back video, with no real seriosness too it.Awesome finish for an Awesome Anime
