5.0 out of 5 stars Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi Tag Team Review October 22, 2010
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi Tag Team retains all the fast paced and explosive action from previous Tenkaichi titles all in one portable package.

The bulk of the game is in Dragon Walker. In this mode you will go through the entire Dragon Ball Z story from the arrival of Goku's brother Raditz to the defeat of Majin Buu. You will spend plenty of time in the over-world map guiding your fighter to certain destinations and encountering various foes. Despite it's similarities to Shin Budokai Another World's over-world map, Tenkaichi Tag Team manages to make it bearable enough and even sometimes fun. Who doesn't like to see their favorite Dragon Ball Z characters brought down to size with huge bobble heads? A frequent problem with Another Road was repetition. You would have to battle the same enemy numerous times consecutively, even if he isn't your primary target. This can grow tiresome even to the most die-hard Dragon Ball Z fan. This is still an issue in Tenkaichi Tag, and sometimes it's downright horrendous. Enemies are spaced out much further and are easier to avoid. It's really rather simple to make your way straight to your primary target without worrying about bumping into a random enemy and wasting time on a needless fight. The developers decided to be nice this time and give you a chance to avoid a random battle even if an enemy is right on your tail. For example, if you are using Goku, you can press the square button to use Solar Flare to temporarily blind any nearby enemies. You can then make your escape.

However, for those of you looking to obtain every unlockable item, you should probably reconsider playing the story mode, and opt to download the sav file instead. That is, of course, unless you feel you're up to the repetitiveness that Dragon Walker will offer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great New Concept November 14, 2010
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
As someone who has played every Dragon Ball game there is, I was excited that this one had something new to offer. Being able to have a 2 on 2 battle with all 4 characters in at the same time is really nice. I'm hoping that they take this battle style and make it a mode on future console games. Anyone who is a Dragon Ball fan should check this game out.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best DBZ games yet. October 19, 2010
A Kid's Review
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team is one of the best DBZ games I have ever played. I love the idea of fighting two-on-two! The graphics are also amazing, especially the characters. I would definitely get it if you haven't already.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I really love this game. Bought it just today and now playing non-stop. Graphics are great, controls catch on to you quickly. Challenging to target your opponent and beating the crap out of him!! This is my first dragonball game and would definitely not be my last!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars good stuff December 1, 2010

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I like this game way better then road to shin.
This game is easy but fun. You start out fighting pretty wimpy stuff but it gradually gets harder. its great if you want to relive the show in your head and fight it out. there are cut scenes and times where you might land that last blow but never do. I recommend this game for die hard fans, but you will not get much else

4.0 out of 5 stars dbz psp March 2, 2013
Verified Purchase
imagine budokai 3, tenkaichi style (3rd person view and layout) with 2 vs 2 aspect. they will never release a 100% new dbz game. its always a throw up of what theyve done with 20% changed and a title shift. that being said, i dont mind it as long as dbz is still dbz

5.0 out of 5 stars BT3 on the go! February 20, 2013
By Zach
Verified Purchase
This game is A LOT like BT3 in terms of gameplay. That isn't bad at all! I actually love it because of that. The main difference obviously is the 2v2 battle system. This doesn't mean you have to play 2v2. You can play 2v1 or 1v2 or even the classic 1v1.

And in my opinion, I think the graphics suit DBZ better than the PS2 BT3 game. They seem a bit more cartoony, but that's just me.
