4.0 out of 5 stars Let's take a break..., February 9, 2001

This review is from: Dragon Ball Z, Volume 2 (Dragon Ball Z (Viz Paperback)) (Paperback)
A much more placid chapter in the DB Saga, this mostly involves Earth's Special Forces training for the impending battle with two Sayajins coming to Earth in one year, tipped off by Raditz right before he died...Translation, art, everything's pretty muuch the same. Not as enjoyable as the first, but still fun and interesting. However, there IS a battle at the end of the book, which ends in a nice cliff-hanger, and the death of one of our heros...And, yes, just to remind you, as everyone says, the manga is way better than the show, at least in America.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dragonball #18, My Review, March 9, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Dragon Ball Z, Volume 2 (Dragon Ball Z (Viz Paperback)) (Paperback)
This book is petty good. It's fun to read, yet it just doesn't have enough action. My favorite part is when they fight the cultivars ( Saibaimen on English anime. ) This book is really awesome, especially if you are a DBZ fan. It covers from when Kami'Sama takes Son Goku to the afterlife, to around when Nappa starts fighting Tien. Sorry, but I can't tell you if this manga is better than the anime becausse I have never seen these episodes of the anime. Review Over!
