Dragon Ball Z is the number-one series on the Cartoon Network. In this adventure, the Ginyu Force is on the run as Captain Ginyu and Jheese face off against Vegeta, Kuririn, Gohan, and Goku. But this crafty alien isn’t licked yet, and may have a trick or two left up his sleeve. In the confusion of combat, Dende manages to grab all of the Dragon Balls and call upon the Great Dragon of Namek. Have Freeza’s dreams of immortality gone up in smoke?

Review

"The runaway hit of the Cartoon Network . . . It's easy to see why Dragon Ball Z is going to be the headlining title of Shonen Jump." --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

About the Author

Renowned worldwide for his playful, innovative storytelling and humorous, distinctive art style, Akira Toriyama burst onto the manga scene in 1980 with the wildly popular Dr. Slump. His hit series Dragon Ball (published in the U.S. as Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z) ran from 1984 to 1995 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. He is also known for his design work on video games such as Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, Tobal No. 1 and, most recently, Blue Dragon. His recent manga works include COWA!, Kajika, Sand Land, Neko Majin, and a children's book, Toccio the Angel. He lives with his family in Japan. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

3.0 out of 5 stars Faulty, February 3, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is the final edition in the VizBig titles for the Dragonball manga. This is a must have for any DBZ fans who want to complete their manga collection at an affordable price. Unfortunately though the copy I received from Amazon was faulty and had pages 161-192 replaced with the previous pages of 130-161 thus getting these pages twice and then after getting to page 161 again it then continues on with page 193 thus missing pages 161-192. This is just a warning for anyone who's buying these right now because I don't know if it's just my copy or if they had a bad run of stock.

Cheers

A great must-have volume to end the series. This great VizBig recreation features the final 2 explosive volumes of Dragonball Z.Don't miss this volume in which Gotenks faces off with Boo and Goku and Vegeta then too get their turn resulting in 2 epic battles. This is a must for any fan of Dragonball Z small or big.People will enjoy this awesome book.I think you should get this book. The only downside of this book is that the book only contains 2 volumes, however 25 an 26 are the biggest volumes in Dragonball Z. This book is great action book.Anyone who likes manga owes this to themselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars great for any dbz fan, March 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is the exciting closer to the whole dragonball series, so naturally the story by Toriyama is wonderful. As for the vizbig editions themselves they're a great deal compared to the original graphic novel releases: from two to four volumes versus one at one price. If you're a fan of the show wanting to read the books, the translation can seem awkward in a few places compared to what anime fans are used to hearing. All in all, it's a great buy if you're interested in DBZ.
