5.0 out of 5 stars The Battle for Namek, November 25, 2003
By
Andrew (Monongahela PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 7 (Paperback)
This book mainly focuses around gohan, Kururin, and Vegeta's search for the namekian dragonballs. As Vegeta escapes from Freezas clutches, he manages to steal all of his dragonballs. When Zarbon goes after him, Vegeta overwhelms zarbon and makes him pay for his last defeat. Later on, Gohan and kururin have to ally themselves with their former enemy Vegeta, in order to conquer a much more powerful enemy: The ginyu force. They battle the extremely powerful enemy, strating with the short and weak "Gurd" (aka Guldo). The dub may show an uneventful and quick death of this enemy, but the manga will reveal a much more surprising (not to mention greusome and funny) ending. When Vegeta fights Reacoome, he discovers he's no match, and this book ends with a kind of hopeless ending. I like this chapter of DBZ alot, and I would give it a 4, but because of one certain scene I'm sure you will all enjoy, I can't help but give it a 5.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dragon Ball Z Graphic Novel 7, June 16, 2002
This review is from: Dragon Ball Z, Vol. 7 (Paperback)
In this episode the Great Elder of Namek grants Kuririn the One-Star Dragon Ball and the incredible power that goes with it. Meanwhile, Vegeta breaks free of Freeza's spaceship and races across the planet in search of the same Dragon Ball, the one that will make him immortal. When Vegeta intercepts the Earthlings, Zarbon attacks. Whoever wins will kill Kuririn and Bulma next. It's a fight to the finish.
