The Dragon of Boetia

By Bernard Evslin

Myths and Legends

The Dragon of Boeotia Is about a prince named Cadmus whose sister Europa is taken away by a great blue bull that came out of the sea. But whale Cadmus seeks his sister through the gods his eldest brother Abas comes across a wandering god named Demeter who is the goddess of harvest and is looking for her lost daughter but Abas being the rudest of the brothers makes an awful comment to the goddess and is turned into a lizard. But in Cadmus's search for his sister one of the gods Prometheus tells him to go to the great town of Boeotia where of course he meets the dragon. I liked the author's style of writing because it really wanted to make you keep reading. I thought the book was good but it wasn't the greatest I have ever read because I don't really like myths as much as I like other books but it is a really good book if you like myths and legends.
