All my son has been wanting is a Nightfury. We've hunted and hunted and finally came across this little guy. I wasn't sure what to expect when we ordered it, but my son fell in love with it when it arrived. The advertised picture doesn't do it justice, it's really cute and a bit larger than I expected. The fur/skin? has an iridescent quality appropriate for its namesake. It has small details like cloth claws and spikes. It's not a snuggly plush, it has wires in the wings for posing, but that doesn't stop my son from taking it everywhere. I personally would have found "Toothless" (the dragon) cuter with the "puppy-dog" look from the movie, as opposed to the fearsome pose this one is in, but its not my toy and my son is pleased.

My daughter and I fell in love with this character but couldn't find a toy that represented it's "puppy dog" expression. We stitched the mouth on this one closed and you can't believe the difference. It looks great and looks like the dragon when he isn't so furious. We love him this way! God bless!

My kids have been begging for a Toothless. Their cousin has the plastic one, and the wings are always coming off. They go back on, but it annoys them and me to have to keep reattaching them. And Hiccup always falls off. It was bad enough fooling with it at their house, I didn't want to deal with it all day at my house too. We decided to try this one and it's adorable. We actually ordered 7 of them for my kids and a few for the cousins and one to stay at the grandparents' house. They are a huge hit! They are all sleeping with them right now. I love the posable wings. The color of this one is actually midnight blue, which I also like. I'm going to follow the suggestion of one of the other reviewers and stitch the mouths closed, at least partially. It is much cuter that way. The toy is much cuter in person than it is in the picture here. These were perfect. If they had a plush hiccup to go with it, they would love that too. This one is much, much better than the plastic version, for the kids and the parents. We typically don't buy the same toy for each of our kids, but this is a special one that they all love so much that it was worth it. They even made their own dragons out of water bottles, paper and kabob skewers (to make the tail stay straight) and played with those for a week. That's when we decided they really wanted a dragon toy. Love this!

I got this stuffed dragon super cheap. I think the shipping cost more than the dragon so for that it was awesome since my son loves the movie. The wings are cool with the bendable wire to expand them but they get all bent up pretty easily so I have to continuously reshape them while he plays. they tips of the wires also started poking out of the wings shortly after purchase which i was able to sew up but still not good. For the price it was a fun toy for my son - just not very durable.

My child loves the movie How To Train Your Dragon and really likes the black dragon. This dragon is a deep royal blue, not black. She enjoys it all the same...

This was for my grown daughter who fell in love with Toothless in the movie. It's more for decor than for play - posable wings are a great idea. She loves it!

thought the toy would be black like the movie dragon but it wasnt. it was blue and not really a realll dark blue so. all in all it did its job as a gift but i wish it had been black like the night fury dragon in the movie.
