Editorial Reviews

Reiji Oozora isn't a lazy boy, he's just terribly unmotivated; all the clubs and activities he's joined don't interest him for long. That is, of course, until his best friend Yukino takes him to a underground arcade where an unbelievable virtual reality game is played - Dragon Drive - in which players fight each other with virtual dragons. Reiji ends up throwing all he's got into training a dragon so rare that the Dragon Drive staff are baffled. But soon Reiji learns that Dragon Drive isn't all it seems, and he might be the only one who can save an entire world from evil. There are 38 episodes in this anime series.

NOTE: This review is for a fansub version of this dvd since the official one has yet to be released.
This DVD starts on of my favorite anime series. It begins an excelent story of self discovery, transformation, and friendship that reminds people how when ordinary people are put into extraordinary situation they can change in ways they never thought possible. This series is one that can be appriciated by most audiences. The characters are easily liked and can be related to most ordinary people in our world. If you get a chance to check this DVD and series out I would highly recommend that you do so.

Ever since I saw a trailer for Dragon drive on one of my anime DVDs, I wanted to watch it. I loooovvvvee dragons, and I couldn't wait when the DVD would be realeased. Well, I finally bought it yesterday, and I was pleasently surprised.

Even though this is obvisouly aimed at younger boys ( or possibly young) I found myself already addicted to the storyline. I found myslef loving the main character, Reiji, because he seemed liek you're tyupical loser, and yet he had a true hidden talent, or "sleeping dragon" inside of him. He's not only a chracter who's easy to realte to, his character devolps strongly, even in the first five episodes.

I also enjoyed the battle scenes between the dragons, especially when Chibisuke ( Reji's adorable dragon)

It says 7 up on the back of the DVD box, but please don't let this make you stay away form the series. I'm a high school girl, and I now consider this to be one of my favorites.

I promise you, you won't regret buying it

As I reviewed it, it seemed to be a cross between Megaman NT warrior and digimon, with the dragon myths of Duel Monsters. I hoping it gets better in time. Otherthan that its cool to watch.
