More About the Author

I call New York home. Except for my time in the USAF, I have lived my life in the beautiful Hudson Valley region. An area so rich in beauty, history and folklore an author has an abundance of inspiration to draw from. I have a wife and two great kids, whose very presence fills my head with storylines. I draw ideas from the people in my life and from the nature that surrounds me. I have always read fantasy, but sometimes I would come across a book whose plot I just didn't like, and in my head would proceed to re-write the scene. I guess this is where my desire to create my own worlds began, and it will be one of the journeys I will walk the rest of my days. And what a beautiful journey it is...

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities. ~Theodore Geisel

Writing fantasy offers the ability to create the worlds that exists in the recesses of your mind. To bring into existence a world that is only a thought, an idea without substance until the written word gives it form.

Well played Andros. That I send out to you Roland. The Dragon and The Faerie was awesome. Every second I could spare I spent reading it. Even stayed off facebook to read. Made my wife drive when we went somewhere so I could read some more. I very rarely read because I tend to lose interest and time to read a complete book. From beginning to the last word I never lost interest I just wanted more, I had a need to go on to see what was next. Never have I gotten so much excitement from reading a book. If I didn't know better I would have thought I was there watching over the whole story. I think it is absolutely amazing how you can disappear into the lives of the beings you have created. This is a must read for everyone. As I said earlier Well played Andros I tip my hat for gaining my attention long enough and cant wait for part two.

In the writing. All declarative narration, Andy did....the stone skipped...Andy saw.... I think it might be a good story but the writing is jr. hi level and I can not make it past that. Look at the first pages and see if it bothers you.

LOVED this book.
it took my interest as soon as I started reading it. It was a fairytale type book, but also one that was truly imaginative and able to connect to.
I quickly came to connect to the individual characters and find my favorites to root for
Read this book, you won't regret it
I'm anxiously awaiting the 2nd book in the series

very difficult to put down even if it was electronic - looking forward too finding a hard copy some place and buying 2 copies, one for my shelf and one for my daughter/grandson - there may have been sections hard to read (so some other review implied) but I never noticed and I take great pride in finding grammatical mistakes - the story is so entrancing that you rarely stop to ponder how that sentence read as you are in a hurry to read the next part of the story - the only disappointment I had with the story is that I have to wait to read the next one - the author is also great with the descriptions as I had little trouble visualizing most of it as I was reading - I could very easily see this as a movie -- addendum...I have been given the chance to read the first few chapters in the next book in the series -- oh my, be ready to get it as soon as it is released - pre-order if possible
