4.0 out of 5 stars Another warrior is born with a twist... Recommended April 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
In the first book "Dragon Warrior" when I first read I thought it was a shapeshifter kind of dragon story but not this series it is a very real dragon.
Then I got hooked with story line and plot, the first book was about an introduction of what the world are like, how people trying to survive a living after the dragon war from both dragons and the people whom took advantage of situation, the raid. Its when warrior, heroes and heroine are born and sacrificed.
In this 2nd book "Dragon Lord" another warrior is born with a little extra skill a little twist and not quite human, our favorite heroes now getting down and dirty to help their little town from those dragons and bad guys, as story goes it is a very fact pace with the twist at the end, the mysterious character cliffhanger for 3rd book.
This story is a little bit too short for me just 1724 kindle pages but there is Book 3 coming "Dragon Goddess". I am very interesting how that one goes. I put on a note to following that up later.
.. While waiting for the 3rd book I recommend reader to read her other series "Sunwalker saga" It is very fascinating. I love both series.

This wasn't a bad book to read. It was kind of an unusual book but kept me pretty interested. Some of the characters were fun to travel with. I have read all three in the series and look forward to more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to put down! May 9, 2014
By Renae
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Loved the book, could hardly put it down, definitely for those who like post apocalyptic stories. The author definitely knows how to paint a picture with words so that you see and feel the world as it is now compared to what we all know. The book ended at a point where to get the rest of the story you need to go to the next book, I understand this as it is a way to sell your next book but it can be frustrating if that next book isn't out yet. Thankfully I was able to go right to the next book and wasn't disappointed. You become so enmeshed in the characters that you can't wait to see what happens next and what they will do next. Great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful story teller December 15, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Shea Macleod is a wonderful story teller. I like how she actually takes you into the story, you are a part of her characters. Other authors tell the story looking in but I like an author who actually is telling the story from the main character. I am still reading this story. I would suggest that other readers purchase this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read. October 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Enjoyable storyline with compelling characters. Good plot twists, but a little more background on some characters would be much appreciated. There are three fairly short books in this series so far and sometimes it feels like it could have been one longer book or like there should be more detail to beef it up.
