A great resource,

This review is from: Dragon Magazine, No. 59 (Paperback)
Dragon Magazine has been a great resource for those who play TSR's Dungeons & Dragons, and other games, since it premiered in 1976. Issue #59 came out in March 1982 (when AD&D was still in its 1st edition), and while it does not have an overarching theme it does contain quite a few interesting articles. Among the articles are:
Gypsies: A curse or a blessing-or both! - has notes on adding Gypsies to your campaign. Skitterbugging - a sci-fi short story about a human survey team that finds more on a new planet than they might have hoped...or feared. The Halfling Point of View - A great article on Halflings and their religion. Poison - Want to add a little diversity to the poisons of your campaign? Giants In The Earth - Sir Roger de Tourneville, Harold Shea, Anthony Villiers, Mark Cornwall & Sniveley. Dragon's Bestiary - Bleeder, Stymphalian Birds, and Spriggans (a personal favorite!). This is among my favorite issues of Dragon Magazine. I loved all of the articles listed above, including the short story. So, if you play 1st edition AD&D, then this is a great resource for you to get.
