A great resource,

This review is from: Dragon Magazine, No. 60 (Paperback)
Dragon Magazine has been a great resource for those who play TSR's Dungeons & Dragons, and other games, since it premiered in 1976. Issue #60 came out in April 1982 (when AD&D was still in its 1st edition), and is something of an April-Fools issue, containing quite a few interesting articles. Among the articles are:
All About Elves - a great series of articles on elves and their religion, and roleplaying them. More Cantrips - more of those great little mini-spells. Firearms - a very interesting article on early guns. Wear Wolf - a surprising little fantasy story by Joel Rosenberg. (Yes, him!) Flight of the Boodles - a fun little board game for two players, complete with map and playing pieces. The Jester - a new NPC class (this is first edition, remember?). Midgets in the Earth - humorous NPCs that would add a laugh to any campaign. Yeah, this is a fun issue, not just useful but really fun to read. I loved all of the articles listed above, including the short story. So, if you play 1st edition AD&D, then this is a great resource for you to get. |
