To the honest souls who told me that they were a bit disappointed when they got the original version and noticed that it was all black and white, this book is for you. I assumed that price was more important than color. Perhaps I was wrong. The original Handbook absolutely works perfectly as a how-to. But this Full Color Edition is certainly more delicious. And I cut my margins to keep it from being twice the price. Color or not, learn my techniques, make a dragon, be happy. [...]. Thanks!

Ingredients for a dragon- wire coathangers, newsprint, masking tape, old bedsheets, flour and water- Dan the monster man has made it that easy! This book is in full colour and is a shorter version of Dan's new book Papier-Mache Monsters: Turn Trinkets and Trash into Magnificent Monstrosities. All steps are really easy to follow- my high school Art class has followed them and if you have any questions leave Dan a question on his blog [...]. Dan is really quick to respond with lots of great detail and he has made online videos on making monsters and dragons.

I loved this book! It has great pictures showing step by step on how to make a fabulous dragon and a short but sweet written explanation on the bottom of each picture! I personally like this because I do not like to read essays on how to make anything! It also lists all the materials you'll need at the beginning of the book, and later lists what are the specific materials you will need for that chapter! ( perfect for people like me who cannot retain information for very long!) I enjoyed the full color pictures very much, and I am more than happy to pay more for this version! ( he has a b/w version for less money)

This book tells you, step by step, how to create fantastic dragons, and then, how to paint them to a really nice level! I wanted to possibly build them for sale on e-Bay, but I soon realized that shipping them would be ridiculously high, as the finished sculptures will be quite large... Aside from that, the book is superb! Cheers!

This book is so well written and so well illustrated that I highly recommend it. What a fun book. I haven't yet made a dragon, had wanted to make one with my grandsons, but that will have to wait. I will likely simply make one to hang from my own ceiling very soon.

Dan Reeder's books on making things are wonderful, each one a delight.

When I get around to making a dragon, I will try to remember to update this review.

This book was a delight to find and the instructions are written as I imagine the author speaks. It is very clear and easy to follow with tongue in cheek humor. It is an easy book to follow with instructions and materials required listed, as you require them and the photos are clear and give the reader easy ways to make what may be conceived as a difficult object to begin.

I really love this artist and I got another book by same guy, How to make Papier Mache Monsters and this book is just like the other one. I was kind of disappointed in this book because the same instructions are in my other book. I think it should have sold for much less!
