Highly detailed 1/700 scale assembly model kit of the USS Randolph (CV-15), an Essex class aircraft carrier of the United States Navy in World War II. No class of warship symbolizes the might of a nation's naval power in World War II better than the Essex class aircraft carriers, the most numerous class of heavy warships of the 20th Century, with 24 ships built. Commissioned on 9 October 1944 and built by Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co., the CV-15 Randolph served with distinction throughout World War II and the Vietnam War. This beautifully detailed 1/700 scale model kit of the CV-15 features: All-newly tooled flight deck. Build as either waterline or full hull version with presentation stand. Hangar deck includes interior details. Hull-side doors can be modeled in an open, half-open or closed position. Flight deck elevators can be posed in either the raised or lowered position. Different types of radar provided, including the YE Homing Beacon, SC Radar, SK Radar and Mk37 Director. Superbly detailed anti-aircraft guns including 5-inch .38 Caliber Single Open Mount, Quadruple 40mm Bofors and Single 20mm Qerlikon.
