For hardcore 'Quest' fans only,

I must admit that I find this release rather puzzling. The music is here is neither entertaining nor melodic. A shame really considering how cool it REALLY is. For the true power of Koichi Sugiyama's score to Dragon Quest VII then buy the Symphonic score. And leave this odd curiousity be. The track listings are as follows:
1. Overture VII 2. Morning in Eden 3. Sarabande 4. Echoes of Horns throughout the Castle 5. Heavenly Village 6. Days of Sadness 7. Stolling in the Town 8. [Japanese Title] (no english translation) 9. [Japanese Title] (no english translation) 10. Memories of a Lost World 11. Moving through the Present 12. Shadow of Death 13. Shadow of Death 2 14. Fighting Spirits (nothing like how is sounds by an orchestra) 15. Sphinx 16. Mysterious Sanctuary 17. Aboard Ship 18. Pirates of the Sea 19. To My Loved one 20. [Japanese Title] (no english translation) 21. [Japanese Title] (no english translation) 22. Screams from the Tower of Monsters 23. With Sadness in Heart 24. A Safe Haven 25. Magic Carpet (nothing like brilliant orchestra version) 26. over the Horizon 27. Triumphant Return/Epilogue

Piano to match the OST and AMAZING Symphonic Suite,
By "forgottenone" (winnipeg, Manitoba Canada) - See all my reviews

As I said in the review of the Symphonic Suite and OST, this is a great album. The only album that this doesn't beat is Final Fantasy IV Piano Collections. My favorite tracks are tracks -17-Aboard Ship, -05-Heavenly Village, -24-With Sadness in Heart, and -25-A Safe Haven.I can't even decide a one favorite. I'm not a big piano buff (I'm a symphonic person myself) but this album is the perfect companion to the OST+Symphonic Suite album (double-Disk). If you like piano however, and am not too big on Symphonic music, this still does the OST justice, and very well I might add. Still, the Symphonic Suite is the best album of the 3. That album is just AMAZING. But for a piano album, this is VERY good. Well worth the purchase. Hey, I'm not too big on piano and I bought it. Enough said?

Two both of the reviewer, this is probably the first time i gave a review because i was disappointed and what was said, first off you don't compare dragon quest VII piano to final fantasy VI piano . whats the point in that?and why would these sound anything like the orchestra! ver! you guys need to take things as they are and judge them accordingly. if anything the piano ver are closer to the original the the orchestra ver.secondly this is a piano version of the songs so if you never heard the music before or you really don't like the ost then you might not like this.My favorite , no the best songs are :
10. Memories of a Lost World 6. Days of Sadness 7. strolling in the Town 11. Moving through the Present 26. over the Horizon 14. Fighting Spirits listing to the piano ver brings back fond memories of the game.it has inspire me to learn how to to play the piano as well so i would recommend this.
