5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommend!, July 9, 2001

LK "LK" (Boston, MA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dragon Tunes (Audio CD)
This one is constantly in our home or car cd player. Our 3 1/2 year old knows most of the songs by heart and our 20 month old loves to dance to the great, energetic beat of the songs. Moms and Dads just may find themselves dancing around the living room with their kids; hard to sit still when this is playing!

Lyrics are adorable with simple, positive lessons for children "betcha can if you try", "don't give up", etc. Exercise and dance with The Wake Up Song, Stretch!, Doodli-Do, the Wiggle Song, and Touch just to name a few.

Good, fun music!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great music for all ages!, January 17, 2003

This is a wonderful CD of Dragon Tales songs that doesn't get annoying! If you child watches the cartoon, then they will recognize many of the songs from the TV show. The CD is very energetic, and will get your kids up and dancing! Even if your child hasn't seen the cartoon, they will enjoy the music just as much. As a parent, this is one of those CD's you can enjoy along with your children. We love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Notch, October 30, 2002

The songs on this CD can stick to your brains even after you stopped listening. If you're a big fan of the show, this CD is a must, since all the songs on the CD has already appeared on the show at one time or another. Even if you're not, well, give this CD a spin. It's songs will make you a fan in no time. I kinda liked all the songs on the CD, but here's a list of the tracks I especially enjoyed:

- Wake Up (and Say Good Morning)
This song's upbeat tempo and cheerful lyrics makes it a winner

- Betcha Can
One of my top picks. Need some motivation? Put this track on and feel it's power lift you.

- Doodli-Do
A nice track to play on a cloudy day, or just dance to.

- (Let's go to the) Zoo
A nice mellow track to listen to while relaxing.

- Ord Shuffle
Want something that sounds like it cames from the 50's? Or just a fan of Ord? This song is for you.

- Be A Dragon
Nice tune. Guranteed to get you dancing. I especially liked the overdrive guitars.

- Dance
Another one of my top picks. A calming song with slow and relaxing lyrics. Another winner.

- Cassie
A song about my favourite Dragon! Neato!

- Hum
Also one of my top picks. Motivational lyrics make it another winner.

- Try
Another one of them motivational tracks. Really neat if played back to back with "Betcha Can"

- (And the World Goes) Round and Round
An nice upbeat song to dance to.

Overall, the CD's great. The only problem with the CD is that it lacks the track "Count on a friend", which at current is only available on the show. Still, it's a good CD. One track missing doesn't make much of a difference. I give it two thumbs up.

We LOVE this soundtrack! We listen to it over an over all day and I never get sick of it. I find myself singing the songs when the music isn't even playing. I really like it because the songs get the kids up and moving. Keeps them active instead of sitting in front of the tv! You won't regret this purchase!!!!

The songs have a lively beat and are lots of fun.
They are easy to learn so they are easy to sing along with for young children. Both of my children (age 4 and 2) really enjoy these songs. We listen to this music over and over and mom isn't tired of it yet.

Enjoy

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't-go-wrong choice for parents who like a Carribean sound, April 17, 2001
This review is from: Dragon Tunes (Audio CD)
It takes special talent to create music that can appeal to a 3-year old and his 40-something parents. I sought this CD out after I found myself singing to the show's music while cooking dinner. If your kids watch the show at all, they'll love the CD, no question. If upbeat reggae and Carribean tunes appeal to you, you'll like it too. Among my personal favorites are tracks 3 (The Hello Song) and 4 (Stretch), either of which I dare any parent to "tune out." Good for parties, road trips, Saturday mornings, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bubblegum-Latin Dragon Pop, Featuring Joey Levine!, March 21, 2001
This review is from: Dragon Tunes (Audio CD)
Remember Joey Levine from "Yummy,Yummy,Yummy" Fame? The former member of Ohio Express composes and performs with other singers On "Dragon Tunes" a Cd with "dragon tunes" from the show "Dragon Tales" including 7 you may not have heard before. I love the songs "Hum" and "And the World Goes Round and Round","Betcha Can",the theme song, and "Cassie" because It's a sound-alike 60's bubblegum song about my favorite dragon. The Cd will encourage kids to play along, keep on trying, and face their fears. In the words of Wheezie, You'll "LOOOOOOVE IT!".

My son loves this music. He listens to it all the time. And its not that bad for parents to listen over and over again. It has great energy and my son dances and sings whenever it is playing.

This is great CD to get the kids moving. They love listening to it and it's easy on my ears as well. I love that the words are included so my children can really sing along.

5.0 out of 5 stars You Won't Be Disappointed in This One, June 14, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Dragon Tunes (Audio CD)
After over 1 year of listening, my toddlers are still requesting this CD -- and I don't mind. In fact, I secretly play it while commuting (sometimes, it's just what I need after a half hour of news about terrorism, priestly abuses, and the Enron debacle). Its high quality reggae and Latin tunes provide instant stress relief and mood lift. In addition to songs that are just for fun, many of the songs contain positive messages for children. (Even my husband, the self-proclaimed ultimate music critic, likes it.)

It also makes one TERRIFIC gift for any young child's birthday or for a parent of such. I have purchased it for 4 friends so far, and all are raving about it.

I hope another CD of the newest tunes is released someday. Best 15 bucks I ever spent.
