This review is from: Dragon Voice, Vol. 1 (Paperback)
Dragon Voice is about Rin Amami, a teenage boy (around fifteen) who dreams of being a singer. Unfortunately he has a very unique/deep voice, which makes it unlikely his dream will ever come true. In the first volume he meets the Beatmen, who are a boy band that recognize the potential his powerful 'dragon voice' has.

The manga centres around Rin and the Beatmen, as they strive to understand each other, work together and find success in what is sometimes a very cut-throat pop music industry. I should probably add that the series is pretty light-hearted, so it's always an entertaining read.

I wasn't keen on the concept before I picked this up, but ever since I read the first volume I've been hooked, finding myself completely sucked into whatever storyline comes next. It's true that the series is a bit sappy sometimes, but personally I don't really mind! Overall this is a really entertaining series. The story is funny and fast paced, and always absorbing.

The characters are really well developed- Rin and the Beatmen especially, but even the supporting characters are strong. What else can I say but that I definitely recommend this series!
