Best Dragonball Z Saga so far, and it's not over yet!,
By "biggriggs" (EVERETT, WA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: DragonBall Z - Android - Invasion (Uncut) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
At the start of this video the Z fighters meet at the Island where Trunks said the Andriods would appear. Trunks is there too only with Bulma, as a baby, anyway. Yajerobe's ship gets destroyed by the androids and they fly into the city, the Z fighter go in to find them(they cant sense the android's power level)would you know the wuss yamcha find them first and almost gets killed, too bad it was almost, one of the android destroys the city and goku leads them off to fight elsewhere.android 19 kicks goku's but because he gets that heart virus while fighting him, but My Man Super Saiyan(thats right Super Saiyan)Vegeta saves the day. the fight between Vegeta and 19 doesn't start till the next tape, read my review there. Vegeta is the Prince of all Saiyans Once again!

This is one you must see in Japanese,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dragon Ball Z - Androids - Invasion (DVD)
This DVD contains a very cool scene with Goku going Super Saiya-jin in front of the two androids; I watch just this clip frequently. And, of course, this is where Vegeta first goes Super Saiya-jin himself, after 4.5 years of training in up to 450 times earth's gravity he achieves the goal he set, passing Goku in strength. Watching it in Japanese is worth the cost of the DVD.I have been collecting the DBZ tapes since the legal copies were made available. I have recently switched to collecting them in DVD format, and while converting my current tapes to DVD would cost too much, there are some key DVDs you must have whether you collect tapes, DVDs, or are just a Toonami fan. I would include on this list, Androids Invasion, Super Saiyan Goku, the two with Piccolo's fight with #17, and the one with Gohan going Super Saiya-jin level 2 (seeing that in Japanese is amazing). The list should be bigger, but I still have not seen the entire series.

Great Movie,
By A Customer
This review is from: DragonBall Z - Android - Invasion (Edited) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie is great. It starts out when the Androids appear and begin wrecking the city like Trunks said. Yamcha is held at Android 20's mercy before all the other Z fighters show up to help. At the end of the movie, shockingly Vegeta ends up turning into a Super Saiyan. All out this is one of the best movies yet.

The Androids are Here!,
By Adam (Overland Park, KS USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dragon Ball Z - Androids - Invasion (DVD)
This 4-episode DVD is about the Androids arriving, but a few things are off about what Trunks said. Goku turns Super Saiyan and fights 19, but the heart virus kicks in and then Vegeta as a Super Saiyan takes over! You don't get to see Vegeta do anything though, that's on the next DVD. There are a few parts in this DVD that are tedius to sit through and you'll probably skip these parts after seeing them the first time. The first part is when Master Roshi is explaining to Marin who Dr. Gero is and why the androids were made and you are shown a flashback of Goku defeating the Red Ribbon Army back in Dragonball. Another Part that might get boring after the first time seeing it is when Vegeta explains how he became a super saiyan. The menu system is exactly the same throughout the Androids Saga and the extras aren't very good. I definitely reccomend this DVD!

FUNimation tapes worth their money?,
By A Customer
This review is from: DragonBall Z - Android - Invasion (Uncut) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
If you don't know anything about the Dragonball triology (DB, DBZ, DBGT,) and are a kid under 13, and you watch DBZ on Cartoon Network, I recommend this tape to you. Otherwise, the tape just plain sucks! Bad dubs, lame action sequences, and "uncut" my... Uncut to FUNimation means censoring everything, then add three drops of blood! I could understand the nudity and some hardcore violence, but censoring the names of the characters and the main points of the violence totally ruins the story plot. This tape shows a little bit of SSJ1, nothing beyond the first super sai-jin form. I recommend you not buy the tape for all the reasons above and about 5000 more and save your money, and not to watch it on Cartoon Network to save time, and to spend the money on the original Dragonball instead of this Funimation DBZ garbage.

This is the greatest Dbz tape so far. It has everything a diehard fan would want. When goku fights it is sweat but then he comes down with that heart disease and Vegeta comes and saves him.The androids are powerful but when they level the city in seconds it was so cool. If you are new or a diehard fan of Dragonball Z i recommend that you buy this tape.

Androids!,
By "nickdeitz" (Jacksonville, Fl. United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: DragonBall Z - Android - Invasion (Uncut) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I like to call these kind of tapes bonus tapes because you get 4 episodes for the price of three. In the first episode, all of the Z Fighters except Vegeta meet at the island. Yajorobe comes & when he leaves, the androids blow his car out of the air. Then the Z Fighters go into the city to find the androids. Yamcha finds them, but it just might cost him his life. In the second episode, the Z Fighters come to Yamcha's rescue. Goku tries to lead the androids out of the city, but they misunderstand him & blow up the city instead. After that, they go to the mountains to fight Goku. The androids boast that they can defeat Goku easily, but their files of Goku don't include his ability to go Super Saiyan! In the next episode, Super Saiyan Goku takes on Android 19. at first it seems that Goku will beat him easily but Goku starts to clutch his chest,... oh no the Heart Virus! The virus turns out to weaken goku so much that he falls to the ground and changes back to normal Goku. 19 is now able to absorb his energy, & causes Goku to go unconsious. But Vegeta comes to the rescue whith a new trick, the ability to go Super Saiyan!

They're finally here,
By Leah (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: DragonBall Z - Android - Invasion (Uncut) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
We finally get to meet the Androids that Trunks warned Goku and his friends of. I was so excited to see this tape. It was great to have new characters, and the entrance music for Android 19 and 20 was awesome. The amazing power of these two androids are revealed and also, we get to see Vegeta living his dream of being a Super Saiyan. And we also get to see what he went through to get there. This is a must have video and I suggest getting it right away.

The Dub is Getting Good,
By Jessica (Lawrence, MA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: DragonBall Z - Android - Invasion (Uncut) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Having followed DBZ in America from the very begining, I developed my love of the series based on the dubbed version, not because it was particularly good, but because I could see the fantastic potential a series like this had in America. Finally, in the fourth season, FUNimation has finally realized this potential. Although there is still much room for improvement, these tapes prove that DBZ in America is not "Doomed". The scripts have picked up greatly in both accuracy and are generally less "corny" than earlier episodes (any fan can look at early season three and cringe). The voice actors, who were new with the studio change during season three, have improved imensely, although I personally prefer Ocean Studios (with an animated show especially, a lot depends on the voices). The episodes themselves open up the Android saga, one of the most beautifully animated and interesting sagas in DBZ, and these episodes have a lot to them; they'll get you ready for what comes ahead (which I won't spoil for you). All in all, I have no real complaints; the only reason this video gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel that there is still room for improvement (i.e., keeping the original music). Still, greatly recommended for the fans (note to parents: there is a bit of bloodshed in this one; maybe the edited version would be good for the little kids).
