The Android Saga is the best saga so far.,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Dragonball Z - Androids: Invincible (Uncut) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This tape is great. The androids start there search for Goku. The first episode is the best. Trunks surprised me. Even though it was clear that the androids were stronger then him, being a super saiyan you would think he'd last a little longer. Sense Trunks was beaten so easily take a wild guess how Piccolo and Tien did. You get to find out more about Trunks. Vegeta couldn't except his defeat and he also realized he had more goals to reach as a super saiyan. Goku continues to suffer from his heart disease. The last episode is informative. The androids have there so called fun. I consider there encounter with the biker gang a waste of time. Piccolo is out to get something from Kami which could be a little to much to ask. This is worth your money.

Rewriting the past is harder then it seems.,
This review is from: Dragonball Z - Androids: Invincible (Uncut) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
There is currently no word to explain the, sweetness, of this video. Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha(at times) have the hard task of rewritting the past, and keeping themselves alive. Sadly for them, Goku is still incapacitated with the heart virus, and offers no help. Infact, Goku at times holds them back because they have to worry about his safety! The Androids have been programed to fight and destroy Goku, but these renegade androids do as they will. Goku is still their main priority, but they decide to have a little fun with the Z Warriors first. No Match for the Androids is an understatement. The Z Warriors were completly outclassed and outmatched in every possible way. Though, the Super Saiyan Vegeta still thinks he can beat them, Android 17 and 18 will attempt to prove him wrong. In Last Effort, the Androids have left(not retreated), but left the Z Warriors wallowing in pain. Krillin was spared for the moment,so he was able to Senzu the needing fighters. Vegeta, outraged that he as a Super Saiyan wasn't strong enough, flew away in a tantrum to an unknown location. While the remaining people talk strategy, Piccolo grows weary and annoyed. He yells, and flies off to go to Kami's tower. His intentions are unknown. Closing In, the Android take their time on wheels to Goku's house. An unlucky bunch of highway gang members try to take them on. Unbeknownst to them, they are in for "the ride" of their lives. Meanwhile, Piccolo gives Kami something to think about as he finally makes his intentions clear as to why he flew away to Kami's lookout. Kami, unsure as of what to say, decides to let things play out and see what happens. Unwelcomed Discovery. That sums up whats in this episode. Someone has radios in to Bulma about finding a spaceship that has the word CAPSULE on it. Bulma is intrigued. She gets a picture of the spaceship, and recognizes it. The Z-Warriors pick up Goku and are bringing him to Master Roshi's to keep him safe from the Androids. While they're flying, Bulma sends Trunks a picture of the spaceship, and much to his surprise, he recognizes it too. But, thats impossible, how can that spaceship be what it is, if Trunks has his with him?

I thought this video was cool but not as good as assassins.I love seeing Vegeta and Trunks as a super saiyans.I also liked the scene where Vegeta stood in the rain.Doesn't contain much fighting but still cool

During one of my all-time favorite battles, 18 defeats Vegeta & she might just finish him off. But before she is able to do it, Trunks interferes. But he is also no match for 18. During this scuffle, 17 takes on Piccolo & Tien. They were also no match for him. During both fights, Krillin watches on in fear as his friends were so easily defeated. After the fight, the androids approach Krillin, & surprisoingly instead of fighting, 18 kisses him! Then the androids hit the road to find Goku. Meanwhile back at the battlefield, Krillin give all of his friends a senzu bean to recover. Afterwards, Piccolo flies up to Kami's lookout & asks a great favor of him to help stop the androids. And,I believe that the next episode is one of the funny ones. The androids steal an ice cream truck, 18 gets a new outfit, & they encounter some physco bikers. Meanwhile, Trunks and Krillin go to Goku's house to move to a safer place.

Pretty good DVD,

There was much action in the beginning but the rest of the DVD was basically just the Z Fighters worrying about how they're going to defeat the androids. There were some awesome songs in both the English and the Japanese version. I definitely reccomend buying this DVD.

Incredible Anime!,
This review is from: Dragonball Z - Androids: Invincible (Uncut) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This tape is what I truly like about Dragonball! It is so cool! It gets into the attitude of the Androids even. You even begin to see what is going on while Goku is sick. This is one of the tapes with good animation. I think that at times when a tape is completely filled with attacking and fighting then they don't center on quality, but when there is not as much movement then you can spend time on great detail. Another funny part is that the big bad Android 16 is supposedly really scary looking but he is playing with the birds! You get to see when Android 18 kisses Krillin for some reason. (why would she kiss him with that voice? ) Anyways... this tape is definitley for the Dragonball/Anime fan. If you are too anxious to wait for those New Episodes on Cartoon Network or you just want the Uncut version then get this! I highly recommend it. I wish they would cut out that long advertisement for the DBZ toys and the DBZ web site. I guess not everything is perfect! :)

Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, and Tien are all quickly defeated by Androids 17 and 18. Those two reveal to Krillin that they are going to get a car and search for Goku so Android 16 can kill him. Vegeta, embarrased at his loss, flies off in fury. Piccolo takes off to ask Kame to fuse with him, in the hopes of getting strong enough to defeat the androids. Meanwhile, Krillin and Trunks go to Goku's house, and gather everyone there onto a plane so they can fly to Master Roshi's, in hopes of being safe from the androids. And everyone is in for a shock when Bulma recieves a picture of Trunk's time machine, beaten and old in the woods. Yet Trunks has his time machine right in a capsule in his pocket...
The episodes deserve 4 stars, and the fact that there are four episodes on this DVD bumbs it up to 5 stars. It's always nice having another episode than the usual 3. These episodes aren't bad, but are mostly storyline. However, it does make the viewer tense about the impending android attack, and raises a very important plot point with the discovery of the time machine, one which will extremely change the course of events in the show.

No Match for the Androids - In an earthshaking battle, the beautiful Android 18 brings Vegeta to his knees. But before she can deliver the final blow, Trunks steps in to help. Soon an all out war between good and evil begins, with the androids gaining the upper hand. Now the unhindered androids set their sights on the ultimate prize-Goku!Last Ditch Effort - Struggling to recover from their fight with the androids, Vegeta, Trunks, Tien and Piccolo realize a grim truth: unless they can increase their powers quickly, they have no chance against the android trio. In a drastic move, Piccolo flies to Kami's place high above the earth and makes a most unexpected proposal... Closing In - The evil androids hit the road in hot pursuit of Goku but are delayed by some hyperactive hoodlums. Krillin and Trunks race to move Goku to a safer hiding place, while up in the clouds Kami wrestles with Piccolo's difficult offer. Everyone is scheming of ways to stop the androids, but will any of them work? Unwelcome Discovery - With the androids close behind, the Z-fighters retreat to Master Roshi's house to plan their next move. And with Goku still in poor health, their list of options is short. Bulma makes a disquieting discovery - the wreckage of a second time capsule! Where did it come from, and more importantly, who was in it? |
