Super Saiya-jin Son Goku VS. Koola, May 20, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Dragonball Z : Tobikkiri no Saikyou Tai Saikyou (Comic)
This is a Japanese Graphic Novel detailing Dragonball Z movie #5 "The Battle of the Strongest VS. Strongest." It is read from right-to-left,instead of left-to-right, like American books. The text is in Japanese, and the pictures are frames taken straight from the movie. Now, about the movie. It starts off with the end of the Bardock TV Special,"A Solitary Final Battle. The Father of Z Fighter Son Goku Challenges Freeza.", where Bardock is making his final standoff against Freeza. Freeza launches his giant deathball, thus killing Bardock and destroying Planet Vegeta. Then, Kakkaroto's(Son Goku) spacepod is seen luanching away from the planet. It passes by a ship, and inside, a figure says he is going to shoot down the target. Then, a mysterious figure in the back says to leave it alone, and that it's in Freeza's territory, and that he'll take care of it. That mysterious figure is Freeza's brother, Koola. Years later, Goku has just defeated Freeza and returned to Earth. Hearing that his brother was defeated, and by a Super Saiya-jin no less, Koola heads to Earth to see this so-called "Super Saiya-jin" for himself and to finish off the last of the "Saiya-jin trash". Meanwhile, Goku, Gohan, and Kuririn have gone camping. Koola's ship lands, and chaos ensues. Goku gets wounded by a blast from Koola, and Gohan hides him in a cave. Piccolo shows up and helps Gohan and Kuririn battle Koola's henchmen, and then Gohan gets some Senzu Beans from Karin, and gives one to Goku. It all ends up with a final battle between Goku and Koola. Goku goes Super Saiya-jin, and Koola transforms into a 5th form, the form that Freeza could never reach, proving that Koola is stronger than his brother. I gave this book 4 stars out of 5, because while it's a good movie, it's not the best out of the 13 DBZ movies. I still recommend buying it, though.
