Book Description

We do not know where the Forgetting had come from, what causes it and how exactly does it work... all we know is that nobody is safe from its dark touch, nobody knows where and when it will strike. A prince, a pauper, a wizard, a child... it can happen to anybody and there is no way to prevent it.

Duke Ayaris is a dragon slayer. He's the only one left in the world, and he is hunting after the last of the dragons. He is about to fulfil his life's destiny.
A dying old man asks him to take care of his beautiful young daughter. But the girl has a secret - one that will cause him to set sail where no man has willingly sailed before: to the Dragon North, in search of the fabled city of Eden.

"Dragonbone Chest" is a stand-alone fantasy novella from the author of "The Shadow of Black Wings" (Top 50 Historical Fantasy and Top 10 Alternate History on Amazon)

This new edition also contains the short story "Crown of the Abyss", set in the same fantasy universe.

4.0 out of 5 stars An interesting, exciting story of war and dragons. September 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is the story of olden times, in a world where the Forgetting exists. The world where the last of the dragon slayers is out to slay the last of the dragons.

He is asked to take care of an old man's daughter. When he finds out her secret, he has to make a decision that will affect him greatly.

This book confused me when I started it. It was a mystery to me, and I confess that I was thinking too much about it. I think it is a very good story, and by the end, I was very involved in it. The story stands nicely by itself. Do not let the fact that it is a short story prevent you from reading it. What is a "dragonbone chest"? There is only one way to find out. You must read this story. All will be explained before the book ends.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story, surprising ending November 23, 2012

I am not much for analyzing what I read. I read to relax, but I do know what I like. This book held some surprises which kept me reading, and I was very surprised at the end although I did find it rather abrupt. Good book for a rainy day.
